I’m not advocating trading him but he needs to play better. I’m tired of the he is a slow starter crap. He’s a paid professional. Show up ready to play game 1 of the season.

Aside from having the puck bounce off his leg he’s been a ghost this season. He isn’t above criticism. That breeds complacency and a sense of entitlement. He gets paid to play winning hockey and be an elite player. Don’t see you female doging when Kane gets ripped on. He helped put those 3 banners up too.

Anyone else think Nylander looked a bit better? Skating harder and seemed to actually try and play D and engage along the boards.

Smiths actually had a solid game. Don’t see the need for him and Carpenter though.

Must have been the few times I went to the toilet. Never really noticed him. Sorry boys, he's not that good in my view.

Not to mention that TO was on Kane. Toews was 3 feet away from him and Kane put the pass behind him. Wasn't much Toews could do but try to reach back to try to get the puck to Gus. Toews had all his momentum going forward.

It's not no criticism it's making up poop. My views on Kane are WELL documented, I love the kid (go to page 6 in this thread, my last post in there sorta tells the tale). You made made up crap against me as a defense to bash Toews, who I also really appreciate.

But he's "not above criticism" or something...right after he scores the game winning goal. How absurd is that?

Maybe one less beer tonight bud. I have not made a comment about Toews poor play since summer 2018.

The reality is that the NHL is an extremely competitive league and the Hawks are very average. Dach, Boqvist, Mitchell and another top 10 pick next summer should help them get back into contention.
