The whole idea of a "sniper" is (frank)ing stupid. It needs to die. - Tomahawk
it's not (frank)ing stupid wouldn't it be nice to have a guy that can just put the puck in the net when you need it? |

I just read that Helm was fined $5k for his slash on Lindholm, did anyone see this incident? Pathetic move by the NHL, player safety what a joke. Lindholm throws a flying elbow to the side of a guys head and they fine the other guy for a slash. |

Told ya. Chuckles demotes a young kid so an aging slow glue guy plays. Makes sense. |

Stewy's toughness would have helped against Edmonton.
At least, I assume that's the "logic" Fletcher is using to force him back into the lineup. |

To ice a lineup with Pitlick at 3RW and Stewart at 4RW when he has all that talent available in the AHL is a brave move on Fletcher's part. If they don't score some goals and beat the Stars it could get ugly in a hurry.
He could have even brought up Myers and given him a game on the 3rd pairing after demoting Bunnaman. - Feanor
Meanwhile they're so deep at LHV that Laberge got bumped to Reading. Kase hasn't been able to get into a game yet. Now Bunnaman joins that logjam. |

I believe they have effectively insulated themselves from any injury crisis like the one that occurred with the Phantoms last season.

If TK shocks with 35+ goals and around a 12% shooting percentage, will “anyone” shut it about a sniper?

Haha the caps one was early too, 80% of those goals were all right in front. We need to get the PP going, lets get G back on his side. One thing i will say about the powerplay though is that I like that they are running some set plays, there was a nice one in Calgary where it ended up I think Jake and Ghost up top with the other 3 crashing the net. - ClaudeFather
Not to be contentious, but what do you mean the PP needs to get going? We're currently sitting at 5th in the league for PP% and 11th for PPG. Moving up would be awesome, and it likely will as Goals tends to trend up as the season moves on.
The new PP might not be the most flashy and highlight-generating setup, but it's working. And based on preseason, there's multiple setups the team is ready to use in case the go-to gets shutdown. |

Coots is also trending as a 35+ goal scorer if he continues his growth from the past couple seasons |

Had nothing to do with that young kid not really delivering much of anything. |

Good point - PP1 has been very lackluster (aside from Jake's 2 @ Edm).
I forget who mentioned it recently, but I like the idea of just giving PP2 the bulk of PP time. At least until the first unit gets their act together |

I don't think people have an issue with Bunnaman being demoted, but it's reasonable to wonder why none of these young Phantoms were called up to play over Chris "EIHL" Stewart.

"Anyone" should try watching the games and seeing the kinds of goals he scores.
He's also scored 51 goals on his last 168 shots (13.9%).
