I doubt Risto is getting traded, however if you are looking at a team like Vegas these proposals are off quite a bit. Tuch for Risto and Tage? Tuch signed exactly one year ago today for 7 years. His contract is good, but this would be a one for one trade. We wouldn't be adding Tage or anything else. Like what was posted, Vegas is in a position of need. Smith for Risto and a prospect? I know people want a second line winger to take Sobotka's spot, but Smith is not the answer. Taking away one of our only physical forwards for a small guy to make us softer does not make any sense. Again, we would not be adding any prospects in this proposal and if we were to add anything, I would ask for Reeves back as well.
Saw this yesterday:
"However, it seems like those teams will have to shop elsewhere. Pierre LeBrun has revealed on Thursday night’s Insider Trading on TSN that Ristolainen is now hoping to stay in Buffalo after making the comments that Ralph Krueger is the best coach he has ever had in his professional career.
This seems to be the change Ristolainen was looking for to perform better, therefore it is believed the Sabres will stop looking for suitors for his services. " |

Yes, and
-they are t-3 without him in the lineup thus far
- they are unbalanced on the D...only 2 RhD
-Sabres could hold $900k for this year
Sticky part is the recent signing on a 7 year deal makes it harder to pry him loose as you mentioned.
Could you imagine him with Skins and MoJo! - IonSabres
Hold $900K for this year on who? Ristolainen?
They do need help on defense. |

Wonder if we could pry one of there Centers from the Vegas. They have Karlsson, Stastny, Glass, don't want Eakin, And some young ones Nosek, Roy, Brown |

Can’t hold $900k for only 1 season, I think it is or the length of the contract. So if the contract is 1 year, fine. But Risto is a few more years (3?). (I know you are not suggesting, just adding on) |

From Spector's page:
If Rasmus Ristolainen no longer wants out of Buffalo, the Sabres could be forced to consider trading another defenseman to clear their potential blueline logjam once Zach Bogosian and Brandon Montour return from injuries. Scandella’s a UFA next summer and might not fit into the Sabres’ long-term plans. |

Just because they say that doesn't mean he still can't be moved, if this story is true and Bogosian gets healthy, he can be the physical presence, who will drop the gloves if need be. |

Weissbach has 7 points as well. He's setting up the shrimp to make him look good. Maybe give a little love to our own prospects. - mhp

As soon as he fights he breaks his hand and he'll be gone for 4 weeks |

Probably with Bogo, just saying that just because he is happy again shouldn't keep us from moving him to get a piece that helps are team out. |

So Crapfield is setting up Weissbach? Don't think so. |

Not that rare at all, 10 times already this calendar year. There are teams needing defense with players on two way contracts called up where they could easily make room and are willing to try anything. Snicker away. - Beethoven
I count 7, out of hundreds of waivers. 2 were journeyman goalies. 1 was a defenseman. I call that rare. Even if he's claimed, he's at best 11th on our depth chart and has never played an NHL game for us. He's not someone you think twice about.

Cousins takes sh*ts bigger than Caufield. Caufield lasted a long time in the draft after Cousins was drafted. We’ll see if caufield’s game and size translates to the NHL? I know Cousins’s does, Caufield 50/50. |

What I said is that Weissbach is setting up Crapfield which is a fact. And if you followed Weissbach like I have, you would know that injuries, particularly last year slowed him down. Wisconsin wasn't a very good team the last few years but they are loaded this year. Let's not forget Turcotte plays on that line as well.
Enjoy following the Habs. |

Not sure our need is center over wing? With eichel, Johansson (I know he could move back to wing) Middelstadt and Cousins (next year) we’re kind of stacked at center |
