Zucker not happy in Minny. Called out Boudreau as well as his entire team:
"I think more than (a meeting's) going to have to jump start us to be honest with you. It’s going to be each individual guy from Bruce on down," Zucker told Michael Russo of The Athletic. "Bruce has got to be better. We’ve got to be better. Everybody’s got to be better. That’s it."
Okposo, Scandella and a 4th (bump it up to a 2nd if need be)
for
Zucker and Foligno
Minny likes older guys from Minnesota, so perhaps they would have interest in KO. This would clear a little more than $1.5m in space as well.
Also, Guerin is the GM there now and played with KO for a couple years with the Isles. |

Cat is very successful why wouldn't cole? He has produce at every level and broken records at every level - gerbe75pts
I liked cole’s compete level and liked him going into the draft. In saying that I would I take cousins over Cole every time as cousins combination of size, speed, intangibles and moves is rare. I also wanted the Sabres to take Keller over Nylander but Keller ended up going right before buffalo picked (GMTM would have taken Nylander over Keller anyway).
Btw I’ve watched Hughes and Kakko a lot and neither are really impressive at this point. I know they’re only 18 but they don’t look like they belong right now. I think Turcotte and/or cousins may end up being the best players from the 2019 draft |

Asplund injured last night, day to day, upper body but should be fine.
Borgen sticks up for his teammates and pummels Marko Dano after a questionable hit.
Amerks in Utica tonight, gonna be a tough matchup on the road. |

Okposo and Scandella have been very good but Minnesota isn’t taking what we though before the season to be cap dumps for zucker. Despite having his A taken away, Okposo is a locker room leader and I don’t think the Sabres trade him anyway.

Borgen is going to be a good one- think better skilled Scandella. They only thing that worries me about him is his lack of size. He’s not small but McCabe like size I believe. I’m really intrigued about samuellson.
Btw, Amerks win or lose yesterday? |

I don't know their specific situations, but do they have the 9 game option allowing them to be sent back without burning a year of their contract, and could you see it happening? I know they went 1 and 2, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they are ready for the NHL. |

Not sure our need is center over wing? With eichel, Johansson (I know he could move back to wing) Middelstadt and Cousins (next year) we’re kind of stacked at center - turbo044
Well then you could move Mojo back to his natural position, he is playing well there, but he is horrible on face offs. |

Lost in a SO. My view on the team although it's early is they could use Chris Taylor back as HC. Gord Dineen is ok.
And I love Borgen as well but fear he might be included in a trade down the road. Samuelsson has got top potential written all over him. My dark horse to make an impression in a few years is Linus Cronholm (2018 4th rd). He has made some nice steady progress. |

Isn't Borgen 6'3, plus it's not the size of the dog, it's the bite |

Sabres have some nice D prospects coming through the system now, I am looking forward to Samuelsson myself, a bigger McKee, better keep your head up when he's on the ice, cause he will take it off |

I’m surprised Ralph doesn’t use sobotka to take draws in that line and have him move back to wing after the draw. It’s a simple to do and sobotka is quite good at it |

Wow he is listed at 6’2” which is more than big enough. At 187 pounds though he’ll hopefully add 10-20 pounds of muscle. He’s so skinny he looked shorter to me. He basically Dahlins size (Dahlin is 6’3”) but at 19 vs 22 Dahlin prob has more potential to add weight |

For a freshman last year at Western Michigan he turned into a good leader both on and off the ice. His HC Andy Murray relied on him a lot and praised him for that leadership. |

Capfriendly has him at 6'3" 196 lbs. Amerks page has him at 6'3" 198 lbs.
Edit:
Samuelsson listed at 6'4" 220 lbs |

I like him a lot, him and Borgen patrolling the blue line is gonna give Sabres opposition a headache. Just hope neither one of them is used as a trade chip |

They could be sent down after 9 but neither will be. They’ll just take their lumps this year. Hughes looks a lot like Reinhart I his 9 game trial at 18, but Hughes is a bit more physically mature than Reinhart at 18. Hughes will still probably end up with 35-40 points which is fine just not great. Bye, I think cousins could have put up the same production for the Sabres this year but buffalo is playing it safe. Expect cousins to play with the Amerks in the playoffs this year, maybe even get a look with the Sabres?? |

Samuelsson was the captain of his U18 team which is a great sign. He’s showed more offensive upside than I expected from him when we drafted him. He’s already huge and can skate. Think Risto’s toughness with a high hockey IQ (very non-Risto like) but less offensive skills than Risto |

Wow that’s great - I thought he was around 6’
Our pipeline is stacked. I actually like Fitzgerald too and of course Pilut but those two might not have a shot with our depth. I don’t think Borgen or Samuelsson is players GMJB would trade. If you watched the Anaheim game, They’re exactly what we could have used in that game |

What do you guys think of AJ Green, would you take him if you had the chance. Just a little tid bit. My Buddy used to work for Empire Sports. When they went down he went to few different places, but now he is working 1360 radio, doing some of there Sports programming. Says there some big chatter that he is gonna be a Bill. Said that is why he is not pushing himself to get back into there lineup. Been practicing in spurts for a couple of weeks now. People saying he wants to be healthy for the 29th |

I think it would be a no Brainer as he could probably be had for around a 3rd and a 5th since he’ll be a UFA after the season. It would also keep him away from the Patriots. I would have to be convinced he’s 100% healed from his ankle and that he’d be okay with coming here (he may want to be a lifetime Bengal). In saying that, I think tomorrow will be a breakout game for Foster. Coming off the bye week I think they’ll try to use him more, especially vs. Miami.

with the chiefs down, I would go after him
it's shaping up to be a 4 team race until the chiefs get back and the chiefs did not look so great with maholmes the last few weeks

Most sources are predicting a 2nd and a swap of a 4th and 5th or something comparable. They would most certainly receive a 3rd for a compensatory pick if he didn't re-sign, so I would think the ask would undoubtedly be a 2nd, especially if there are multiple teams interested in trading for him. |

Your saying weiss is the reason for coles success when it's the other way around
I like weissbach but after his rookie year he never went to the next level - gerbe75pts
When will you learn that not ever player develops linear? Or that they all go at the same speed? You’d think after seeing VO dominate the PP at least you’d understand this. And why can’t it be two really good players playing at a power house program doing well? |
