TSN: Pierre LeBrun reports Buffalo Sabres defenseman Rasmus Ristolainen was a frequent subject of trade speculation after telling management he’d welcome a trade following another losing season. However, Ristolainen indicated he’s happy playing under new Sabres coach Ralph Krueger. LeBrun doesn’t see a trade taking place at this point.

SPECTOR’S NOTE: The Sabres are off to a good start and aren’t in any rush to make a trade. They’ll have to move a defenseman once Zach Bogosian and Brandon Montour come off injured reserve but that doesn’t mean they’ll trade Ristolainen. If the Finnish blueliner keeps playing well under Krueger they could look at other options.

I went out for the baseball and football games last night. My plan was to maybe stay for the 1st period of the Sabres game. Ended up staying past the end. My body is not my biggest fan right now.

I kinda like it, im getting ready for bed turn it on go, if its a good game ill stay away if not i can fall asleep. Im up till about midnight most nights anyways.

It was weird being out in LA and having baseball games start right after work. 10 football kickoffs are nice too as you still have plenty of day left to run errands.

Has Skinner's productions dropped off though? He has 4 goals in 8 games. Him and Mojo have been doing a great job. That line could be lethal once Sobatka gets moved to his proper place in the lineup and a true top 6 winger gets added. Skinner is one of the best at creating his own chances by hounding pucks and going to the net. He's been doing everything he needs to help the team. Another legit threat on that line though would really put them over the top whether Tage can be that guy or it comes via moving a D man.

This will never happen.... Ehlers is locked up and greater than Risto. Perrault has way more value than Sobotka. If Buffalo tosses in a 2nd pick, they might consider it. Plus Buffalo gains salary. They can't do that and have to shed almost 8 million as it is.

I think the faceoffs are a bigger part than the physical play. Either they acquire a RW who can do that, or acquire a C and move Mojo to RW.
