I don't get the hate for spot games of Stewart other than the fact it's a move the Flyers made.

Bunman wasnt doing much and to me it is bette for Farabee and Friday to be playing 15-20 all purpose high pressure minutes with the Phantoms vs 5-7 fourth line mins with the Flyers.

Yup, I would have just recalled someone yesterday. I truly have no idea what they see in Stewart. He might be a great guy, but he just can’t cut it on the ice anymore. Honestly, I’d rather they go 11F, 7D than put him in the lineup.

Nothing other than he and Hagg are just going to be this year's whipping posts for everything that goes wrong.

I respect bills opinion for sure but I maintain that travel of this nature may have an effect. You don't touch on whether or not there is anything to the idea that home teams retuning from road trips have struggled in the first game back.

Also, if note, just because someone disagrees with you on something that is difficult to empirically prove doesn't mean their opinion is BS.

Maybe the oilers took their foot off the pedal. Maybe this team is not affected by travel and will respond well to the ominous schedule they will now be required to play in November. Maybe they won't.

Maybe hart was affected by playing in front of his family. Maybe teams aren't affected by external factors when they come home from a long road trip. Maybe they are.

Point is that they are human and it might have affected them. Maybe it didn't, but in my view the schedule isn't doing them any favours as at the very least they are going to need to catch up in games at some point.

People female doged and complained about young kids not playing last year. This season its perfectly okay for kids to not be called up at so an aging veteran can play!

No not at all. After the weekend play I could see them calling vorobyev up for 4 th line center. This would put raff back on wing and stew as the 13 th forward. Let farabee and frost get more games in. Of course someone else mentioned Patrick. When he’s cleared to play, we probably won’t see him right away. One two weeks of full practice and maybe an ahl game or two. All depends on how the team is playing as well.

Stewart has size and skates well, one thing I noticed as he arrives at the puck he is not I. Control of his stick to make a play, could be just that game.

Can G carry a team? I know he is not Crosby but he use to have more of an impact on the level of play of the team

The youngins have to pull themselves up by their bootstraps and earn it. They aren’t going to be handed a spot. Especially from a glue guy like Stewart.

He's dominating, 24 points in 11 games. Last game I attended against the Barrie Colts, I was sitting in front of some management and staff from Barrie. I heard them say a few times "I hate that guy!" Every time Kaliyev was on the ice he was creating scoring opportunities or scoring. Would have been nice if he fell one more spot in the draft and we selected him. Also met Warren Rychel briefly at that game.
