Other way around - gerbe75pts
Looked up all of Caufield's goals through 3 games.
The 2 versus Boston College were power play goals with Weissbach as the primary assistor.
Weissbach was the lone assistor on the Caufield goal at the start of the 3rd period versus Merrimack (Weissbach was the primary assistor on the Turcotte power play goal in the first).
In the game against Minnesota Duluth where Weissbach had a goal and two primary assists on both of Caufield's goals, Weissbach's goal was on the power play.
Now, to the video...
VS. Boston College:
1st Caufield PP goal came off a very good, one touch Weissbach pass from side of the net which left Caufield the space to get off his shot. Strong pass from Weissbach.
Weissbach put it on a tee again for Caufield on his 2nd PP goal, again on a very good one touch pass, this time from above the right faceoff circle, which left Caufield all alone on the left side.
VS. Merrimack:
Could not get video of the Weissbach to Caufield goal.
VS. Minnesota Duluth:
Weissbach put it on an absolute tee again for Caufield in the goal to start the game. Excellent pass, under the defenders stick.
Weissbach's PP goal was a slam dunk layup off an excellent pass from Turcotte.
Caufield could not have had a more wide open net off the fake shot pass from Weissbach. He put it on a tee again for Caufield.
Summary: the Wisconsin power play is ridiculous and loaded with talent. On 4 of the 5 Caufield goals that I could watch video on, where Weissbach was the primary assistor, Weissbach made it easy for Caufield to score with very good passes each time.

Put that post here for Gerbe and anyone else that wants to see what Weissbach is doing for Caufield so far through 3 games. |

Miller - Sabre_Tooth
Their power play is a joke.
Miller missed a 3 foot tap in putt by 3 feet high from a Weissbach pass on one of the highlights I watched. |

Surprised they switched up the bottom 2 pairs, Joker and Scandella were playing good together. Maybe giving Scandella some more minutes to up his worth. |

I think Montour's close to returning...before I say this, let me say I think joker has been playing very well...however, dahlin and Montour logged a lot of minutes as a pairing last season, wonder if that's the spot Montour will take when he gets back? |

Could be, I think Scandella gets moved soon. A small trade for now until Botts sees how the team is trending |

Probably. Seems strange that Joker would lose his lineup spot. Would be even stranger if Joker was sent to Rochester unless by “get a house,” jbotts meant like in Batavia or somewhere else in the middle of Buffalo and Rochester. Sitting on the bench does nothing for Joker’s development |

Maybe. Scandella’s play this year has changed him from untraceable to tradeable for. Mid round pick. Would also open up much needed cap space to trade for a forward at the trade deadline or maybe a bit before |

Seems unlikely that Joker would lose his spot at the end of all this, however, the fact that he can go to Rochester without waivers makes me think he's headed there when Montour comes back. Fingers crossed for a trade. |

Since he got his ankle cleaned up, seems like he got his skating back, there's teams out there hurting |

There was also an article in the athletic about skate blades being designed specifically for your skating style. Supposedly helps a good amount. Jack and Scandella got customized this offseason |

What kind of message does that send if one of their best defenseman is sent down to the AHL when it's not due to his play? |

On top of that, if Scandella is moved, it would probably be for nothing of substance.
How do you take the surplus of D men and not get a forward out of it? |

Even if Scandella is moved and only for a mid round pick there is still a surplus of D-men that can get traded for a forward
Dahlin
Risto
Mountor
McCabe
Joker
Miller
Bogo
Pilut
That's after moving Scandella

Sorry I think I hit the wrong button and might have flagged you accidentally.
Even if they move Scandella when Bogo comes back they still have a surplus. Risto is probably the only 1that will get you that forward. |
