He was way out of position on all three of them. So deep in his net on the first one he can't make a save on a low percentage shot for the first one. Second one he ends up about 10 feet out of the crease. Third one he opened up and had his stick up around his waist for no reason.

By reflexes alone for sure. If he was in square proper position he for sure gets the third one.

The second one was part bad luck, part Risto, so I can forgive that one.

I always feel like even the best sabres teams are bad at scoring on the empty net. Must just be one of those things that always feels like it's happening to you and never for you.

Did I hear Duff earlier in the game mention that they played a California team home-and-home their first year? That could be why. The first Sabres game ever was in Pittsburgh, and that's how they started this year too. Might be some schedule stuff going on.
