There have been some awful prime time games so far - hubie
Yes. Yes there have. This is why the games are played though. If what things looked like on paper played out just that way, there'd be no reason to actually play the games. |

That Cleveland week is interesting. They've been throwing up on themselves lately, but if they were to somehow beat New England this week, and then Denver, they become a story again. If Buffalo beats both Philly and Washington, that becomes the most interesting game of the week.
The Sunday Night game right now is Minnesota at Dallas.
The Baltimore game could be really intriguing, but right now the Sunday night matchup is Seattle versus the Rams. Both teams would need to take a nosedive to get flexed out of there I would think. - buffalofan19
Correct me if I'm wrong, but it doesn't seem like the NFL actually takes advantage of the flex all that often. It's pretty rare from what I remember. It does happen, but not nearly as often as they have the opportunity to. |

The awful dolphins somehow got a Monday night game, but no primetime games for us? Boooooo again - jcragcrumple
The New England game is almost definitely going to Saturday or possibly even Sunday Night.
I want to see another game get flexed before that, though. I want to see how this team performs with all eyes on them. |

It's not exactly common place, no. I do want to see it happen, though, for the reason I stated above. |

Talk about an awful game.
Even with Pitt being healthy this being the Monday night seems rather lack luster. |

Next year will be an interesting one. They have Kansas City, Seattle, and the Rams all at home. They also will have one of Cleveland or Baltimore as well (I am assuming they finish at least 2nd in the division and Cincinnati and Pittsburgh don't do something miraculous).
They will be at San Francisco. Denver could improve too.
Those are all potential Thursday/Sunday Night or even 4:25 double header games assuming the Bills finish strong this year. |

I feel like in typical Buffalo fashion, they don't perform well when there's big expectations heaped on them. In some ways, yesterday's game was the perfect example of that. Yes, they won, but I think having such a big spread put pressure on them that they didn't know how to handle. For whatever reason, the Buffalo teams always come out so flat in "big" game situations. |

Yeah, but they also came off a bye week, too. I think (translates to: "hope") rust played a big factor. |

No one has told me how he’s improved yet ...... great accuracy has gone up from 50%.
He also has been missing easy throws and reads on a consistent basis. His deep ball is pathetic.
So I see no growth - Sabretooth9

A little bit of perspective regarding the development so far of Allen, and what could be in the future compared to one of the legends of the game.
Admitedly, this is directed a good bit towards Swedish Jesus, who has been rather harsh in his criticism of Allen.
-56.9% career completion rate, 54.5% completion rate in Playoffs
-47.5%, 56.3% completion rate for initial two seasons played, over 26 games
-25 to 29 TD to Int rate over 1st two seasons
-3 of 16; number of years out of years played in which he had over 60% completion rate
-63.2% highest completion rate, achieved in year 11, first year over 60%
-22 playoff games, 14-7 playoff record
-31 comebacks,
-40 game-winning drives
-2 Superbowl rings
-Hall-of-fame player
Who is he?
John Elway of course...who Allen reminds me of alot....strong armed, big, mobile QB who can keep plays alive and extend drives with his running...exciting player who led team at the end of games to wins when the game is on the line. Not the most accurate passer, winning attitude, a leader of men. Lots of similarities there.
Ya, ya different era for sure. But, teams can be successful with that type of QB.

I hope they wait until at least April, but preferably May, to have the superbowl parade. You want the weather to be nice for that |

Yes, but a majority of those Broncos teams according to my Uncle were god awful. There was a reason we got blown out in so many Super Bowls. Elway was the Broncos. Just like Rodgers is the Packers for the most part.
I’ve never said Allen was a finished product, but just that he needs to continue to improve.
When Elway was finally given a running game and a half decent defence the Broncos won back to back Super Bowls.
The Bills have a strong enough defence to have a chance in the playoffs. Between Gore and the rookie they have the horses there to move the chains on the ground. Daboll needs to commit to running the ball more in my opinion to keep defences honest and open up the play action game. |

That would be the most Buffalo thing ever to have a Super Bowl parade postponed by a lake effect snowstorm. |

At the same time, though, to me, it's just as okay to be concerned about items after win as it is to not think the sky is falling after a loss.
The fact that they struggled at home against the worst team in recent memory is a little concerning. It could be and probably is fixable, but still something to keep an eye on.
I'm going to the game this weekend, and the combination of them not being sharp at all against Miami coupled with the fact that Philadelphia is due for a breakout game, especially after getting their asses kicked the past two weeks, makes this a very scary game. - buffalofan19
Yep. The Philly game will be the gauge for whether were a contender or a pretender. |
