It was a very soft call. Not sure Marner even got his arm...
- Hockey_Reverend

Hooked his waist, pulled him back...I thought if you got a shot off it wasn’t a penalty shot though.

Where the (frank) were you on Saturday? Sitting there willing the Bruins to win so you could come on here and spew your kife "analysis"?

After the win, he complained that the Leafs were outplayed...

He’s staunchly anti-Leaf.

Literally at the game, watching it live in a section with an actual homeless guy (Bruins fan too) in it.

That’s good, I’m more worried about how we’re getting scored on and not the tending....haven’t been too many soft goals in any game.
- Garnie

I'm worried about the exact same thing.

But when your defense is poop, how you manage the goalies is even more important because the goalie is going to be the difference between winning and losing (more so than usual).

If Babcock wants to keep rolling this idiotic back-to-back strategy, they need a better back-up. End of story. Can't have Hutchinson in net against the Bruins and expect to get points off them. Home ice is going to be a pipe dream for the playoffs at that rate.

Management need to reconsider how this team is structured.

I'm not sure this defence is gonna win 4 series.

It was a 400 dollar ticket so I think he could buy his own poutine if he had his priorities straight. That's a lot of panhandling.

He was whacked out of his gourd. Marching up and down steps in a specific order between periods. Searching the rafters with binoculars. A hidden bundle under a seat that wasn't his that he'd check between whistles.

They got 15 million in cap space, maybe 17 if the cap goes up next year, 24 if they trade Nylander to get a defender.

They gotta make a move. I said Doughty if the Kings keep sucking and he wants to be on a competitive team and win a Cup again.

Let’s give it some time...Hyman - Dermott back will change the look a bit....

Not hot for our start either but we look pretty dominant at times...just need to close it out a bit better.

Dermott replaces Marincin.

Trade a forward for a Muzzin type to play with Rielly.

Banish Ceci to Winnipeg.

Moving Ceci would be nice. Hopefully there's a team that hasn't watched him

That's a waste.

First of all, another Muzzin isn't that great because he isn't that great.

Secondly, if you're going to trade forwards (who, by the way), make them part of a bigger trade and get somebody on Rielly's level so you have a legit top pair that you can safely say matches up with the likes of Hedman/McDonagh or Chara/McAvoy.

Dermott coming back definitely helps and benching or trading Ceci definitely does too. Doesn't help for next year though.

Just have to slug it out with this rough schedule.

I think November's going to be a better month. Andersen is back to form, Hyman, Dermott, Tavares all back; should start stringing together some wins and build some momentum.

- gravyface

Well, we can hope that it makes a difference.

The thing is, the team cannot play defense. It has been that way for years. Until they actually commit to playing a 2-way game, they are first round fodder, again.

Montreal is better right now.

There is no excuse for that.
