he would definitely be a step up for the backup position for leafs.
i haven't seen marzlikins in ages, but i thought he was more of a bust?

Both Goalies are RFA after this year, and Veini Vehvilainen is ready by all accounts. Leafs would have to cough up a roster player for sure.

The shorty was a bad give away by Marner, but Andersen was a good 12 feet out of the crease when Foligno stepped around him - not super soft, but not a great goal by any stretch. The Dubois goal was a dribbler along the ice that was moving pretty slow. It wasn't a good goal, especially being the 2nd shot on net.

1st goal was a pass 1 timer as Feddie was playing the shot and every one went to the shooter, 2nd goal Matthews let his guy go ( which happens ) but Marincin was sitting on Freddie and he had nowhere to go...I don’t even think he saw it either...a little weak but tough to blame the goalie IMO

Stopped 3 or 4 breakaways in the third and OT, he was very good after the first two shots.

Pretty accurate, just watched the first goal, Freddie was out of position for sure. In any event, IMO Korpisalo was better than Freddie last night. Leafs didn't lose because of goaltending, but as Wedgie pointed out earlier, the higher salaries didn't earn those big pays last night. And Marincin was brutal - in the 8 minutes he played. Was benched for most of the 2nd and 3rd. Wouldn't be surprised if he gets jettisoned soon.

Good news Max. There were a couple of reports that Columbus might be making a deal with the Leafs. Apparently, Korpisalo was being scouted last night because the Blue Jackets think Elvis Merzlikins and Veini Vehvilainen are in their future plans.

For whatever reason, we can't play team defense.. I don't know if it's schemes or if Bab's refusing to adjust or if the team is just ignoring him, but as a 5 man group, we are bad defensively.

Babs has been here for 5 years, he should have a defensive scheme that works by now. Maybe, it's because no one is listening to him?
