For whatever reason, we can't play team defense.. I don't know if it's schemes or if Bab's refusing to adjust or if the team is just ignoring him, but as a 5 man group, we are bad defensively.

Babs has been here for 5 years, he should have a defensive scheme that works by now. Maybe, it's because no one is listening to him?

Usually with minority governments there's another election within two years. Although he could win back a majority then, that's what his dad did. He can move further left because he'll need the NDP to pass legislation.

5 on 5, we're just getting beat.. Man to man coverage isn't working, no one responds quick enough, when it's a zone defense.

So if Makar or Glass wouldn't win the Calder, it could potentially be a 24/25y old guy winning the Calder this year.

Mikheyev, Moore or Olofsson are all early candidates (yes, I now it's early).
Maybe Carter Hart if PHI will start winning a few games..?

Not a lot of rookies in league to start with, and not much competition for the Calder (Kakko, Hughes and Hughes not doing that well just yet).

I had Kakko as a close Calder winner in my Leafs prediction thread, but seems Makar will easily win it..
