Sharks coach Peter DeBoer on getting a point in the overtime loss--"It's a big point. It's a good team and this is going to be a tough place for teams to get points in."
That's a good team over there - Pete Deboer

But we're 8-1-1 because of him - TheSabresTaco
Lets check in on that calming presence after 10 games
106 minutes of 5 on 5 icetime together, the trio has a 47.34% corsi, 51.82% xGF%, and a 46% scoring chances for %
They have 41 scoring chances for and 48 scoring chances against, which is:
23 scoring chances per sixty minutes for
27 scoring chances per sixty minutes against
--
Skinner and johansson have only played 10 minutes 5 on 5 without their anchor attached but they have a 61.9% corsi, 70.52% xGF%, and a 69.23% sCF%
They have 9 scoring chances for and 4 scoring chances against, which is:
54 scoring chances per sixty minutes for
24 scoring chances per sixty minutes against
HOW ABOUT THAT CALMING PRESENCE
(i think the ridiculous gap is because of score effects, though, since Krueger pins sobotka to the bench when they need a goal)
(however when they need a goal skinner is usually playing w/ eichel and reinhart so i dont know when these 10 minutes together occurred) - robz228
I think it's more accurate to say we're 8-1-1 in spite of him |

Nope. He's on the team, which means he's the sole reason we're 8-1-1. |

Then we wont be able to offer Sobotka the 8th year on his upcoming extension |

He's a premier power forward in the league. I'd be hesitant to offer him 8 years like I would for Elie. 6 would be fine, hopefully he'd take a discount to come back to Buffalo. |

How about this trade...
Okposo, Larsson & Girgensons to Ottawa
for JG Pageau.
Cap works for both teams.
I am sure Ottawa would trade Ryan in that deal but his cap and age don't work for me. |

Currently working on a new analytics program to calculate the use of statistics in arguments in hockey chat rooms.
Looking at the misused stats being used with other stats which is actually making those stats less effective.
When winning, many posters will rely on 2 or 3 stats, and a lot of times, not using other stats to support your main stats will lead to losing your argument. Understandable, however that some stats need to be left on the bench in a close argument.
When losing the argument a poster generally is going to use more stats. They may try a different combination of stats, and may even use stats that haven't been used all night.
A lot of times there may be a stat that is not the greatest. This is where it gets a little tricky, because some posters think you can just trade your team's bad stat for another team's good stats. Maybe that team has too many offensive stats and need defensive stats.
The analytics of analyzing stats has been tricky, but I am trying to use a new algorithm to analyze the analytics and hopefully will have the stats soon. |

Buffalo’s frustrated fan base, not known for its empathy, hoped its deep, Tank Season suffering would be recompensed with a whiz-bang offense and postseason pageantry.
Moulson became a popular target of abuse because of his paycheck. |

They signed an already slow 30 year old winger to a 5 year deal and then his legs fell off |

“Honestly,” Alicia Moulson said, “[him being waived] was a relief. I didn’t care where we ended up. We were prepared to go as a family, and I knew how miserable my husband was, and I was excited for him to enjoy the game again.” |
