If anybody was listening to WGR w/Bulldog & Dope!
As School was droning on & on, about Sabres first ten games was all about, What does this really mean? Isn’t this just the same team? Blah, blah blah......
I got on by using a fake name, as Schoop refuses to allow me on air,
I literally just took him out back to the “Woodshed” and knocked him on his ass!!!
He didn’t like my use of “Synchronicity” 😂😂😎 - MEBSabresFAN

This is probably old news here, but from an AP article posted @ nbc. Eichel on how much better the environment is with Krueger, "...NOT as high strung".
https://nhl.nbcsports.com...t-of-last-years-collapse/
Aside from returning players being a year older, the Sabres captain credited first-year coach Ralph Krueger for introducing an upbeat message and simplified system to a team that struggled during Phil Housley’s two-year tenure.
”I think it’s enjoyable to come to the rink every day with the environment that’s been created right now,” Eichel said.
”Yeah, winning takes care of a lot of stuff, there’s no way to sugarcoat that,” he added. ”But I think the overall environment’s been a good one this year. I think guys feel a little bit more relaxed. It’s not as high strung.” |

UPL is probly close ...... so that’s a good sign. By close my guess is 2-3 weeks away? Fair guess? |

They were just discussing the sabres on the NHL Network. Concensus was we have some regressing to the mean to do in a few stats like sv % and shooting, but that there is a different vibe to this team and they look legit |

I honestly don’t know what the expectations are for him. Is it realistic to expect him soon at the NHL level? I thought he would probably get two years in Rochester and come up when Hutton’s contract expires.

Buffalo is a failed Metropolis. It's a post-industrial sh!t-hole. So is Cleveland. It's not going to change because of a sports championship.
The population is dropping every year still.
Buffalo is Buffalo and that's fine. We will never economically flourish. We will tread water but seriously - Stop trying to make fetch happen. |

Okay then.
The worst part of Buffalo are the idiots who vote the same taxation loving party in every election and then cry that the place never gets better. The city itself is pretty great. |

You wouldn't know it from how difficult it is to buy a house. There's not nearly enough stock compared to the amount of demand. I assume the population drop is in the rural areas as it either moves out of state or closer to the urban center. It's also hard to find homes in suburban areas
The east side is the next frontier. There are houses deep in the west side going for $180+ |

Do you watch ‘The Good Place’? Lots of humor at Jacksonville’s expense. |

Nope. He's on the team, which means he's the sole reason we're 8-1-1. - TheSabresTaco
Really, we should be on our knees to Risto, he's obviously the sole reason we got Sam, Jack, and the other, other Rasmus. |

It's funny how a lot of people on this board can just rip apart certain players. No accountability is taken with the crappy coaching that these players have gotten the past 4or5 years. But players who have played the game at a high level give a total different account of how certain such players are doing there jobs on the ice. |

When montour is healthy do they simply send jokiharju down? Maybe there is a big trade he is waiting to pull the trigger on but as the sabres continue to win doesnt the price go up and the urgency of a trade go down?
A return on ristolainen cant be underwhelming. There is no reason to do it at 8-1-1 |

No, not at all. But I am talking about how certain players are perceived to be bad, when there peers say they are playing a lot better then people give then credit for, especially for what has happened around the Sabres for the last few years. |

I am a Risto defender so I will use him as a prime example of your point. He is far from a perfect player, so let me get that out of the way first. But he came into the league to join a crappy roster and was immediately relied upon to play heavy minutes. Sure the coaching may not have been great but the roster was less than great so he was overmatched and overworked at both ends of the ice. Thus his poor stats.
Everyone is so sensitive now to how players are developed but they are quick to poop on risto himself for why he still needs to work on aspects of his game. We are only a few weeks into this season, but this roster will allow for everyone to improve in areas they need to because there is sufficient depth, they have good leadership, and they are all buying into a system that doesn’t rely on individual talent but instead on the collective performance of the team. |

Guess I'm not seeing it. Teammates would say similar things about Sobotka last season too. Pretty rare to throw someone under the bus, and it's news worthy when it happens.
