My beef with Kimmie is their involvement in forcing trades of Kane and ROR thereby reducing the ther than that, I'm happy for the fans in Buffalo that their teams are safe from leaving due to financial reasons.
They seem to have finally hired the right management teams for both teams! Took a bit of trial and error, but they got there finally. - IonSabres
This is so alleged it's not even funny.
For every claim that Kane was a POS and Pegs wanted him gone (possible), it can just as easily be stated that not only did Botterill not want to commit money to Kane long term (see Lucic, Backes, Benn contracts - physical forwards approaching or in 30's), he himself just didn't want him here regardless.
For every claim that Pegs was too cheap to pay his bonus, it can just as easily be claimed that ROR actually asked to be traded and that Botterill was ready to move on from a disgruntled player. |

I dont want to sound like a Sobo supporter but why shake up lines when they are working incredibly well. - hubie
because HB hates Slobbo.
The players don't, though. But that doesn't matter. We drop the (frank)ing puck.

Because according to many around here, the second line isn't working well because Sobotka is holding them back.
I'm with you though. Right now whatever they're doing is working in the grand scheme of things. If it's not broke, don't fix it. |

"Johansson also feels that Sobotka deserves more recognition for his game, 'He’s just such a solid two-way player, and he sees the ice very well and makes some really good plays, and I think he doesn’t always get credit for it.'"
- So it's not just fans who misuse "two-way player"
'Krueger tells the players that there’s a team within the team when you’re talking lines, power play and penalty killing. Jimmy Vesey kills penalties up top with Sobotka, and the veteran has had some tips for Vesey, 'I’ve talked to him about just the reads. There are times where you need to be patient and there are times where we need to be active, so I think he’s done a really good job.'"
- No wonder Vesey isn't scoring, he's taking tips from somevodka |

I know right. I would hate to be a game back and 3 goals for off the league while having the best goal differential lol.
I dont get the Sobo hate and the Vessey free pass |

I don't need to break up that line today either, but the question was how to fortify the top 6 by getting Sobotka off there.
Good record or not, I'm sure they are looking at ways to improve the team. They'd be incompetent if they weren't. Sobotka on that line is simply the lowest hanging fruit. |

I mean you’re not wrong. It is possible for both teams here to win their end of the deal. Blues got their cup, Sabres can have 3 meaningful roster players for a duration of time when we are contenders. |

I wish that sports had a system in place where you could trade players up till a certain date to improve your team. I think that date should be later in the year when you know exactly where your team sits and not a small sample size of games played.
I think that idea should catch on. |
