I mean, the answer is that he was too slow, right?
He might have been the slowest player in the NHL. I'm not sure why he's confused - jcragcrumple
Girgensons had a problem with Bylsma as well...not saying gus and matty weren't what they were and are, just noting that Bylsma had a way of turning off players and pissing them off as well |

Yeah, he seemed aloof
I was listening to Rob Ray on with S&BD last week. They were talking about how Krueger is approachable and will answer any questions. Schopp said something like "Housley was good that way too"
Ray replied something to the effect of "well, sometimes people act a certain way around some people and a different way around others"
I dont think ray was a Housley fan |

Pretty sure I heard the same from a lot of Pens players. I believe he is an assistant in Detroit. Let's see how long that lasts. |

Just checked Bylsma's wikipedia page:
"On April 20, 2017, Bylsma was released by the Buffalo Sabres. The transaction came after rumors leaked that Bylsma was at odds with many of the Sabres players, including star Jack Eichel, who allegedly stated he would not sign a contract extension with the team had Bylsma remained head coach." |

Assistant coaching jobs are cushy. He's safe if he's not the guy the players have to go to.
Him and Phil, and many many others, were humbled. They've learned from their past errors what's effective and what isn't, as far as how they need to relate to players. Maybe Phil gets another chance in a few years. I doubt Disco does. |

what was the story?...wasn't it something like housely's aloofness and condescending attitude towards Ray? |
