"California has the worst quality of life of the 50 US states, according to a recent ranking by U.S. News & World Report.
The Golden State came in dead last in the rankings, released earlier this week in partnership with McKinsey & Co.
The rankings considered two sets of metrics for each state:
Natural environment, comprising drinking-water quality, air quality, and pollution and industrial toxins.
Social environment, comprising community engagement, social support, and voter participation.
Two metrics that did not factor into the quality-of-life rankings: California's high cost of living and immigration rates." - adambuffalo
Yet you would live here if it wasn't so pricey instead of Buffalo so don't kid yourself unless you have a family then I would understand

Grow a pair (figuratively, ladies) and buy yourself a big chunk of property and a nice house for a fraction of the cost of a box near a beach. Give your balls a tug, ya tit (frank)er. No one gives a poop about living near celebrities. If I need some warm weather and a poopty community, I'll fly to Tampa for $110. |

From what I have heard that this is the first time that both Rochester and Buffalo have been on the same page playing the same system.
Perhaps I'm reading too much into that, but Taylor had a better system in Roch than Housley did in Buff. Now that Buff actually has a better system, both teams are playing the same and experiencing success.
If anything that tells me Taylor was ahead of the curve. - gcomella34
In quite some time yes. I'm fairly certain that back when Regier and Ruff were here it was the same thing. It was important that the guys be playing the same type of system to help with the transition for call ups and even from one season to the next to make the jump from one league to another permanently.
I was intrigued when Taylor got the nod to fill in for Donato to start the season and now I'm wondering if they just keep him here so long as things continue to work well here. |

If North Carolina and California switched spots and all other attributes remained the exact same, then I'd move to new North Carolina. |

I went out to LA to visit some family back in August. It's great to visit, but I will tell you I'd lose my sh!t if I had to deal with that traffic on a daily basis. That is a HARD PASS from me.
Hour and a half to go 13 miles. F that.....l |

The traffic is what gets me.
Though I'd drive in LA before Boston. Gosh, I HATE Boston traffic. |

I mean, there's definitely ways to get around it, but in general it was brutal. Parking when you get to where you're going sucks too. I guess I'm just used to having a bit more space. I grew up in Angola and get crabby about the traffic in Amherst on Transit Rd sooooooo I guess that's all you need to know about me.
It's easier to get around in NYC honestly. |

Nope, never. Lived in Phoenix and Vegas, been to Cali many times. Would definitely move back to Arizona, but there are approximately 49 other states I would move to before Cali. Regardless of the COL, California is garbage. |

For me I think worst traffic ive been in is
DC
CHicago
Big gap
LA
I expected 405 and going though Orange county would be a lot worse than it was. |

That's not hard for me. I live 2 miles from work.
So I put 20 miles a week on my car going to/from work on a weekly basis. |

California is the best place has lots of things to do
I understand it's expensive but that's because of all the attractions they have the best food /besides pizza and wings / where can you get a beet Burger with melted goat cheese with a homemade gluten-free bun only here.. |
