I don't think Canucks want to move Marky but I do think the decision will come down to cost. If they can't afford what he wants then he might be traded. - VANTEL
No (frank)ing way he is traded. None. They aren’t riding demko to the playoffs. .005 % chance Marky is traded and 1% chance demko is traded |

Not during this season, I agree. But eventually they'll have to choose between them unless they're okay with losing one of them for nothing to Seattle or want to pay a price to keep Seattle from picking them. |

.....
How does Mark being a UFA next year refute my point about them eventually having to pick one of them? If they let Marky walk that means they choose Demko lol, if not then they have have to decide by June 2021, or pay Seattle to keep Francis from drafting one of them. |

It's taken a decade to have good goaltending to compete. So they resign Marky and then Demko going RFA next season. Which would indicate paying Seattle one of the many forwards to keep them both. |

I think Canucks will absorb up to 5 mil with Marky . If he wants more I am not sure .
Markstrom can make a good penny on the Free Agency market. |

I mean they aren’t getting traded. Marky will walk as a UFA or he will be resigned in the summer and demko traded. Neither will be traded this season. We may be agreeing 🤷♂️ |

Or Benning signs him for 1 year at an overpay, with an intent of re-signing him after expansion. |

The goalie market for UFA's might be low because of expansion draft. |

Same. He is still the teams best defenseman. |

I imagine his agent would strongly advise against taking that risk. He'll push for security in case there is a set back next season. |

I cursed you draft night, I was going for Draisitl and you grabbed him right before me
I got a good consolation prize with Pastrnak though. |

Lots of home wins can't see Draistl and Mcdavid keeping this pace of play long term. Just too many minutes.
Holtby looked suspect on 3rd period goals. |

Markstrom is 29. Edler 33. Different points of their careers. |
