I really wish, especially when you don't have to leave the zone, go to the bench and get a new stick, they'll be ok for a few seconds, better than not having a stick for a minute.

I don't know about "fringe", but I don't think he's currently a starter. Lots of backups have stellar games. Have you watched the Sabres for the last 10 years? They can't do d¡ck against backups.
