I think Defensive Tackle might have become a more pressing need than Wide Receiver at this point. |

He made more plays than Allen and won the game in the same weather conditions. - Sabretooth9
If you had Allen and Wentz switch teams, the result is still the same. They also sacked him 3 times. Bandit is right. This was all about the inability to stop the run. |

Mr Negative, Jerry Sullivan has a point...
Over the last two weeks, the Bills have allowed touchdown drives of 70, 60, 59, 75, 68 and 83 yards. There was a 71-yard drive that ended in the Fitz interception, too.
Against struggling teams no less?
McDermot has some work to do.
Beaner may need to work the phones for some help. - IonSabres
Hey I mentioned something like this too. Yet somehow I got flamed for saying it.

Allen fumbled 3 times and gave the eagles the ball and Wentz didnt.
I don’t understand how Allen is untouchable blame wise.
Sure the defense got torched but we only didn’t do anything offensively vs the eagles.
Think about it
Allen sucked vs the eagles - bad defense
Sucked vs the dolphins - worst defense
Sucked vs the titans. - good defense
God awful vs the patriots - elite defense
Struggled vs the bengals defense - they are okay
Just okay vs the jets defense - jets defense is Swiss cheese
Every single game on offense is a struggle. Allen can’t even get close to 300 yards passing.
David Jones of the giants and mindchew both have 300 yard games already.
We upgraded the o line and receivers around Allen.

Never said Allen didn't carry any blame. He needs to start making more plays, especially outside the 4th quarter. But you could make a list of reasons the Bills lost this game, and "their quarterback was better than ours" doesn't make the top ten, probably not even top 20.
Also, I don't think even the biggest Josh Allen supporter didn't expect him to struggle this year. He came into the league raw and as the biggest project, and that included Lamar Jackson. That never changed. |

I understand that and agree he was a project.
I just want to see mistakes cleaned up. We are lucky that our schedule is weak. Hopefully he can learn and grow.

I'll admit I didn't get to watch much of the game yesterday. However, it seemed that we had issues with penalties as well. On both sides of the ball. They seemed to have cleaned them up quite a bit to start the season overall, but it appears that week over week they're becoming more of an issue again. |

That's an issue as well, but part of that was the offensive line getting manhandled by their defensive line. Even pre-snap penalties can be a product of that. |

There's a lot of work to be done still. But overall, they've made strides. I'm not sure if the sort of hot start (depends on how you look at it I guess) changed the expectations for this year or what.
This team overall is better than last year, but there's still plenty of work to be done. The defense had it's struggles at times last year too.
Yesterday was ugly overall. Not so great play from some guys and then compound the fact that the weather was a factor too (yes, I know it impacts both teams) and it was essentially the "perfect storm" for the Bills yesterday. Wasn't their day. Let's see if they can dust it off and make some improvements in the game plan for this week. |

If the Sabres win today, they will have 10 wins in the month of October. They probably won't because I mentioned this. |

Have they played more games this month than they typically do because of the Sweden trip coming up next week or is it fairly normal? I know when we played NY on Friday, we had played 3 more game than them so far this year. |

Paul Hamilton seemed to imply they did in one of his radio appearances about a week or so ago. |

Arizona has played well this year, will be a tough game. I think it's their last game of a roadtrip though, and sometimes teams look forward to going home and mail the game in?? |

The Bills had 3 possessions down 11 points in which they gained a total of 14 yards.
Some days you need your offense to keep up, the offense continually fails to do so.
Yes the defense had an off day but you can’t expect to win scoring 13 points. |

I went back and looked as far back as 14/15. Basically since then it's not all that different, outside of 1 year.
14/15 - 11 games
15/16 - 11
16/17 - 8
17/18 - 12
18/19 - 12
19/20 - 13 |

I absolutely get that, but the play-calling was sub-par, and the running game was also average (though play-calling could have changed that). I'm not saying that as a defense of Allen so much as I don't think Wentz played well enough to make a difference if all else was equal. |

Yeah they are not an easy layup anymore. Sabres need to go all out. They don’t play again till Friday. So they will get a few days off.
The Sabres are also going to Sweden soon. So who knows how they will effect the team |

Sometimes when it starts rolling down hill, it's hard to stop. If it's not raining, maybe Allen doesn't fumble and they punt and go into the half up 7-3 or I'd they give it to gore there maybe they even tack on some more points.
If, if, if, I know. poop happens, they're 5-2. |

Not sure why we just can’t settle on both sides weren’t good enough
Also, the offense had 2 75 yard drives, missed a FG, and couldn’t attempt another FG because of the weather.
On an average day it was a 20 point outing which is average. Not good enough but not historically bad either |

I think I am at this point as well.
There are concerns that need to be addressed, and I think they will do that. I would like to see them acquire another DT at the deadline tomorrow, even more than at receiver. Peko and Lotulelei are not cutting it. |

The decision to receive in the first half (which I don't so much of a problem with) and then go real conservative was baffling to me. |

I think it's because at some point you would like to see your offense bail your defense out when, God forbid, it has an off day. |

The Bills need to go out and really win easily for once, and Washington could allow for that. That would make all of us happy |
