One of the things I've liked watching the most with this team so far is the amount of pressure they put on the other team in the offensive zone when they don't have the puck. They're consistently forcing turnovers and winning 1:1 puck battles most nights. Eichel's play on Bertuzzi last night was outstanding on our first goal. Sam is sneaky good at winning battles in the corner as well. Really, all 4 lines are playing the same way. We haven't seen this style of play in years and it's refreshing to watch. |

Kingkong- what's pilots value?
Plenty of teams would trade for him, just like everyone thought about bailey and baptiste.
Prospects are prospects for a reason
Was it his 1 nhl goal last season? Dude is 9th in the pecking order. Maybe 8th now with bogo ltir |

Who says Pilut would be a star or is expected to be?
He's at least a 3rd pairing LHD who can make a quality outlet pass. They need more of that as they have 2 of their top 4 right now who are questionable at making outlet passes.
Those 2 love firing it around the boards, sometimes when there is no pressure on them.
Personally, I hate watching that nonsense. - kingcong39
I think as a whole, Risto and McCabe have been relatively good for the most part
Playing them 26 min when Jokiharju is getting 15 is asinine as Jokiharju has made more good plays with the puck than either in the limited minutes he’s had |

I can only see them moving scandella or vesey right now
rust has 2 more years on his deal
if botts likes sheary, and he knows sheary better then most
I do not see a need for rust
- homiedclown
My bad on the Rust contract, it is two more years at $3.5m which I am still fine with.
Of course Botts knows Sheary, but he also knows Rust quite well.
Your first comment about Scandella and Vesey being the likely trade candidates, would it not be a bad idea to trade Scandella for Rust to take Vesey's spot? Then use Vesey in a separate trade to upgrade in another area? |

$4-4.5m would likely be a fair offer, but for how long? Would you prefer Rust for one year at $3.5m or re-sign Sheary for three years at $4m? This will be Sheary's first time as a UFA. Maybe he's always wanted to go home and play for the Bruins.
I just think the Scandella for Rust trade is a pretty decent hockey trade , and not trying to discredit Sheary in any way. - adambuffalo
Just my thoughts, I would take Rust over Sheary in a second, better defensively, more Physical, and has the same offensive production. Yes Rust has 2 more years after this one. Your counting on 2 players in Tage and Cozens to come in, when neither has proven anything at the NHL level, I think Cozens is gonna be good, but that's asking a lot. |

And how exactly would be for him under the cap? Btw, AA has exactly 2 assists more than Peale and Pilut right now and had one good season (last year). His previous seasons were average at best |

Erod, Pilut, and a 3rd for AA. We need to move salary out. |

Jokiharju, like Dahlin, are excellent with the puck, and no one is denying that. It's what they do without the puck that is the reason they get the minutes they do. And you comment on the 26 minutes a night compared to 15 which a fair question. Looking at their even strength time though and seeing Risto at 19:30 a night compared to Jokiharju's and Dahlin's 15 a night should not be surprising to anyone one. I wouldn't be opposed to giving Jokiharju Risto's PP time to keep Risto fresh for his EV shifts.

Jokiharju has been great defensively and away from the puck though.
Dahlin has struggled.
Before the Ranger game, Scandella and Jokiharju had just 2 goals against them at EV. Which is crazy good for a 2nd pair
It’s not a coincidence IMO Dahlin had maybe his most solid game of the year with #10 |

Think the time will even out once Dahlin and Joker can handle it, Joker looks legit in both ends already, Dahlin needs work on his Defense. Joker minutes could be affected by who he is playing with too |

Bjugstad is a center. That would allow Mojo to play RW |

Because their D has been bad, the young guys playing due to Rust, Malkin, Galchenyuk and Bjugstad's injuries have been doing quite well, and of the guys called up two are on emergency loan, but the other 2 would have to clear waivers to be sent back. Run-on sentence complete. |

If Mojo is ok with playing Center, why change it, very smooth with the puck, makes good zone entries. |

He’s been getting too comfortable with the zone sentries. He got stripped last night leading to a breakaway. For the most part that is definitely a strength of his though. |

Sobotka is still in the top-6. Until he isn't, they should be looking to make trades to make it happen. People want a big guy to dig in the corners for Mojo. Bjugstad fits that bill. And he's a career 50% on the dot, so that would check that box. He has at least 15-20 goal and 40-50 point potential.
The biggest knock is obviously the injuries, but that would be a chance I'd be willing to take |
