That's a valid point. Coaching

Who you sitting?

Let me guess? Risto?

- Boss34

Risto is a RD, Pilut LD. So no, captain obsessive.

I would make a trade that brings a top 9 player here and allows Pilut a spot

And still on pace for 35 points (27 even strength) without being on the top PP line. Huge dropoff like many predicted.
- adambuffalo

Can you please find me another D man who plays 26 minutes a night, still gets PP time, and is only on pace for 35 points?

Again, he literally is on the ice with Eichel constantly. In fact, Eichel made the play on both his points the other night.

Scoring 35 points playing a ton with Eichel is incredibly not impressive man

He was great overseas, great in the AHL, solid here for 30 games.

Are we just not going to find out if he can play and let him walk?

Legit every D man has improved under Krueger. Why does this not automatically apply to Pilut?

- sbroads24

Think we could trade him for a guy like Alex Nylander? Because this sounds like another player that was traded recently.

I’m not doing 85 pages on Ristolainen again. Thought he was excellent last night.

He’s gotten better on D (which literally every single D and forward has gotten under Krueger) but he’s still massively over rated offensively.

If he continues to play 26 minutes with McCabe it will get ugly.

Ristolainen gets worn down and McCabe isn’t durable. One will be mentally exhausted the other will physically be on IR by February.

They need to eventually even the minutes out

No one told me that Pysyk is a winger now

Maybe Bogo will be our power forward once his hips are demushified

Yeah, the last 4 games. He has 1 goal as a forward. Weird.

Risto had less points last year in the first 12 games, would like more offense from him, it will come. But they do need to find a way to drop his minutes. With the way he plays he wears down.

IMO, with the level of play he and 19 have performed at so far they are a good 2nd pair right now.

dropped to second team pp, due to dahlin

that is pretty much the only difference he has in points

on pace with muzzin, falk, theodore, broadie, heiskanen, hanifin last season

and most of them got time on first team pp last season

Chara and McAvoy
Zaitsev
Klingberg
Barrie
Demers
Keith

All have more EV time, less PK time and most have more PP time. They all have less points than Risto.

Keith is 100 years old, and sucks now.

Demers just had a 3 point night last night after going scoreless. So he’s right there.

Barrie is coming off 2 consecutive 14 goal almost 60 point years in less than 80 games each, I’m sure he will pick it up. He’s also not on PP1. Rielly is.

Klingberg is on a team that can’t score and I’m sure that will change too.

Neither Chara or McAvoy are on PP1 either, that’s Krug.

Again, I was told for years if you put Risto on a good team he’d be a 55-60 point D man and that he was great offensively

Well, here’s his good team. We’re 9-2-1. And he’s been ok.

Agree with that, with the right partner think Risto could be a 2

So I answered your original question with 6 correct answers and you quickly rebut with excuses for each one. Who did Risto screw in your life that brings all this blind hatred?

if there is no dahlin on this roster, risto is the pp qb on the first unit and on pace for those points though

- adambuffalo

You gave examples of a 10-12 game sample.

Pretty much all of them besides Demers have been way bigger scorers than 35-40 points when playing top minutes
