Keith is 100 years old, and sucks now.

Demers just had a 3 point night last night after going scoreless. So he’s right there.

Barrie is coming off 2 consecutive 14 goal almost 60 point years in less than 80 games each, I’m sure he will pick it up. He’s also not on PP1. Rielly is.

Klingberg is on a team that can’t score and I’m sure that will change too.

Neither Chara or McAvoy are on PP1 either, that’s Krug.

Again, I was told for years if you put Risto on a good team he’d be a 55-60 point D man and that he was great offensively

Well, here’s his good team. We’re 9-2-1. And he’s been ok.

- sbroads24

He's a slow starter, the only year he has started of quicker is 2016-2017, and he had 7. Just want him to keep playing good defense, the points will come.

if there is no dahlin on this roster, risto is the pp qb on the first unit and on pace for those points though
- homiedclown

Right, a 19 year old who’s actually really good offensively took his spot. That’s my point

What’s funny, as predicted by me, Jake McCabe has been just as good offensively as Ristolainen when given the same minutes

Scandella, Vesey, Pekar and a 2nd for Galchenyuk and Ruhwedel.
Pittsburgh gets an upgrade on D, a quality winger for their bottom 6, a prospect to help fill their bare cupboards and a pick.
Sabres get the best player in the deal and a cap dump to even the salaries who can skip the Buffalo exit on the thruway and head straight to Rochester.

when you get the best D prospect in 20 years, what do you expect

your showing hatred right now

side note I mentioned d men playing top minutes last season and got the 35 point range risto will project and you glanced over it, and many get top pp time

We’re talking offense.

He isn’t taking Risto’s 5 on 5 time yet which I thought would happen.
I think 55 has been much improved on D. So has legit every, single, Sabre.

I’m totally fine with 55’s play right now. My point is how the goalposts constantly move for him.

He was supposed to be this stud player who’s an offensive D man. He hasn’t been. But it’s fine to play him 26 minutes because he isn’t puking on himself yet

Getting back into the Risto debate.
Well he's doing his job, he is playing to many minutes, but at this time the Sabres don't have someone to take away those minutes, maybe Joker, but he's still young, and would it hurt him. Points will come Risto starts slow. Probably better suited to be a 3, maybe a 2 with a different partner. We all can say what we want, he is still young and can still learn how to be better.

Minnesota is starting off pretty badly. Their top 4 D, Dumba, Spurgeon, Suter and Brodin are -11, -9, -7 and -6 respectively. Wonder if they would be interested in bringing Scandella back?
Rask and Foligno
for
Scandella and Vesey

Rask could play with fellow Swede Mojo adding a big body who can also help with faceoffs.
Foligno brings some much needed toughness and is good defensively.

I mean technically special teams don't matter

Points per 60 at 5 on 5

Dahlin 1.05
Ristolainen.81

Dahlin still the more efficient 5 on 5 scorer

why?

matthews is the best goal scoring center the last few years

when Jack gets 30 goals in a season I will compare the 2

Oh I just remember someone legit posting 10 laughing emjoi’s when it was suggested Eichel was just as good.

But that person back peddled faster than Deion Sanders

You gave examples of a 10-12 game sample.

Pretty much all of them besides Demers have been way bigger scorers than 35-40 points when playing top minutes

- sbroads24

Chara hit 50 3 times, but normally 40-45 points
McAvoy wrong
Keith, like Chara had two outstanding years, but closer to 40-45 normally
Barrie hit 35 EV points once...5 years ago, and is now on the second highest scoring team in the league
The low scoring team Klingberg is on is the same one he's been on for 5 seasons and he has 1 EV strength point in 12 games.

"This discussion always ends up in lunacy.

Olofsson isn’t even shooting the puck at EV and we should just ignore it.

He’s fantastic on the PP. leave him there.

Get him away from 9 for now "

sorry I thought you said top 9 last night

eichel , over the last 3 years was not as good as matthews

I did say to visit the conversation again, if/when we get good

would make for an interesting conversation after the season is over
