A one line team. Outside of their top line (17 goals) they have 7 goals total among the forwards. Our top line has 17 goals and the rest of the forwards combined for 20 goals.
Our depth is actually not too bad. |

It’s October. The ducks once started 1-7-2 and won the pacific. Not trying to be a Debbie downer but even the Sabres were in first place last year at the end of November and we saw how that turned out |

JT would obviously help them, but their D is awful. They actually could use Hainsey, which is saying something. They're trying to give Andersen more days off because they've beaten him like a rented mule over the past 3 years and played him too much. Hutchinson sucks and their defense is porous.
They can still outscore teams on any given night but the defense is awful and the goaltending is starting to look suspicious |

Ristolainen has what seems like a superhuman level of conditioning, but by your logic, all the players will be fresh over the long haul but one. Hopefully the ice time evens out to avoid that. - kingcong39
Piece of cake when you don't have to waste any energy on your brain. Lots left over. |

I’m not saying I disagree, but it’s still way too early in the season to make conclusions.
I don’t want to get my hopes out and be disappointed again. The amount of leafs fans going crazy is definitely amusing though. |

Funny, they tried to rebuild too quickly.

Thank god we have been rebuilding since 2014.

Spending the money on JT was the biggest mistake imo. To a lesser extent Marleau and then the cost to get rid of him. If they had a 1st and $11m to spend on a number 1 d man, they would be much more threatening.
Kadri was fine at 2C. They didn't need JT |

Right now they're not. They have little d and goaltending is poor right now. They have good forwards. They could turn it around. |

Good post jcrag
I think Matthew's doesn't really want to be there either?
Not just the $ for jt, but I think it hurt Mathews feelings, the captain snub was just rubbing it in.

rust has 2 more years on his deal
if botts likes sheary, and he knows sheary better then most
I do not see a need for rust
with reinhart, cozens and tage in the mix long term
johansson short term
and olofsson and skinner on the left long term - homiedclown
It’s certainly conceivable he likes Rust too |

Jokiharju has been great defensively and away from the puck though.
Dahlin has struggled.
Before the Ranger game, Scandella and Jokiharju had just 2 goals against them at EV. Which is crazy good for a 2nd pair
It’s not a coincidence IMO Dahlin had maybe his most solid game of the year with #10 - sbroads24
Maybe try Dahlin & Jokiharju together for 15min
And if they do well, start increasing their icetime
I wonder if Jokiharju is the reason for Scandella’s pretty good play though??7 |

He absolutely is, and they did pair Dahlin with Jokiharju last game, and they looked good. |

Maybe if the Amerks’ defenders would have stopped any of the Bears’ 6 goals in regulation, they wouldn’t have needed OT. |
