Didn't the Canes score like 7 goals in the series against the Bruins? Not a good example. Who were they running after? Waste of time because Chara breaks your nose then you get 2 minutes for bleeding. - winsix
They scored 5 goals because a) They were beat to hell in the series against the Caps and b) they got carried away trying to take runs at Marchand, Bergeron, etc. and stopped taking care of the puck.
They were completely rattled by game 4. |

I mean they traded for a pending UFA RHD for like no reason at all so anything is possible I guess. |

Having a tough guy, someone that other teams have to consider, before running our top players, is very important in this day and age. This Leaf team is too weak, and no other teams are scared of them...which is why they go after the star players. You watch tomorrow's game, and count how many times, AM43, MM get hit hard.
Again, you just want the opposing team to think twice before they run our guys. - Sandro
This is such a stupid take. How many times is someone “run” in a game? Once? Twice?
You don’t need to be a tough guy to box guys out in front of your net or fight for position in front of the opposing net or to avoid turnovers going into the opposing zone or leaving ours. I’ve seen guys like Marner or Nylander strip opposing players with a stick check and create scoring chances when they’re playing well.
Leafs need their big $ forwards to pick up their game and they badly need JT back.

Ship sailed. The opportunity to nab Parayko using possibly Nylander was when Nylander was holding out. At least there were rumours, and Yeo was misusing him and he didn't look good. Now Parayko is in line to be on team Canada. To late. |

That's the point. They aren't even not tough guys. They are just warm bodies. |

You should see the takes from the local radio idiots who continue to insist that Faulk is better than Hamilton and they traded the wrong guy. |

They are less tough than guys that aren't tough but can clear the front of then net. I'm agreeing with what you're saying and saying it's sad. |

Ours were saying to trade Rask before we even had Halak as a backup. Genius.
In the starting lineup Dan Vladar and backing him up Zane McIntyre - what could've gone wrong!? We also might've still had Subban at the time. I stand corrected! |

They have zero business talking hockey. It drives me insane. Bruins fans generally know very little about the sport and think Felger actually knows the sport because he's from Minnesota, but has some of the most hilariously terrible takes on the sport. He wanted to move Torey Krug to wing a few years ago and was adamant about it. |

well... to be fair to those Fans... they are getting a pretty heavy does of Edwards-Spew on a regular basis... and if you can get past the homer nonsense, he just has absolutely no idea what he is talking about.
that's unfortunately where listening to Edwards leads them(the fans) to simply get garbage...
don't get me wrong, there's plenty of that in other geographies... but at the moment Edwards scores very high on the asshat scale

I read every post on this thread. Very entertaining. For the most part, Leaf fans are pretty objective and well reasoned in their concerns and opinions. Hockey talk is one of the great joys of life.. |
