Disagree - can't avoid contact, but targeting the goalie and star players should get a significant response. - winsix
Yeah I'm saying guys should definitely get in his face, but you don't need a specific "Tough Guy" for that role. |

I get what yuo're saying about it's the players stepping on teh ice and not Babcock. But dfon;t you think part of why they're not ready to go and keep giving up early goals is because they've tuned him out? I don't think the players listen to him anymore...and really I can'tt blame them. His lineup decisions, starting goaltenders in back-to-backs are questionable and he is constantly getting outcoached with in game line matchups. From what I've seen not really sure what makes hima good coach. |

I'm not happy with the current situation but that list looks pretty good. In hindsight we can argue that he allowed the kids to bet on themselves and that might have cost some $$. And the Ceci signing is cringy. Otherwise ....I'm good.
Also, he and Hunter were running the ship in 2015 after Nonuts got canned. I think I read that KD was heavily in on the Moore and Hyman signings/trade. Both nice pieces of work. |

For the love of GOD can we just get rid of Babcock already. Most overrated coach in the history of the NHL. The sooner this egotistic, stubborn, arrogant clown is gone the better. |

I think its fair to say that Babs might not be the right coach for this team.
that doesnt mean he is a bad coach.
But I think Babs gets his chance to play this season out |

I just hope the Leafs keep sending Hutchinson vs the Habs.
Seems like a great way to give up points to a division rival.
Having said that, I don't think saturday's loss is on him, at all. - Scabeh

Who cares what that idiot says.
He goes out of his way to find any statistic that is negative towards the Leafs.
Has to try and stay relevant somehow I guess.. - LeafGuy89
It's still a troubling stat regardless who posts it. They have been garbage going back to January - and by garbage I mean mediocre - which this team should not be with its roster and pay structure.
EDIT: Back to last November if we really want to get technical...if they are going to be fast with no grit and so-so defense they need to demonstrate their strengths for 60 minutes every single night they play. |

He's an overrated coach that can only do things one way. It works great when you have some extremely talented defensemen and gritty forwards, but when your defense is pedestrian it's mediocrity ad infinitum.
There's a reason that Babcock's protoges (Todd McLellan, Bill Peters, Paul MacLean) have all had a pretty similar track record of teams that briefly overachieved, then became just good enough to be competitive but not good enough to actually win anything.
McLellan's Sharks days are a slight exception, but that team should have won more than it did too. |

so you judge Babcock just because, but then have no answer on who to replace him..?
surely it won't be an OHL coach - so you must have some idea on who would be candidates, right?
don't even consider available candidates - just curious on who you think would do a better job.. |

It's funny how many of the old time sports guys here (frank)ing hate him. He was such a wiener when he was coach of the Moose Jaw Warriors. |

Aside from it being a popular opinion to have for Leafs fans, what exactly has Ceci done as a Leaf to be so "cringy"? I haven't seen it. He's been "fine". Nothing spectacular at either end - just kind of steady and boring, which is welcome on this team. |
