Speaking of that, sort of. There were a lot of Eagles fans at the game yesterday, probably more than New England. That will always be a problem at New Era Field so long as the ticket prices are so low. |

It is way too early IMO to be thinking about where this team could finish.
I get your point that TO is top heavy and their D and G is suspect for going the distance.
Florida will present problems for the Sabres finishing that high. |

He really looks like a guy that's going to be in the top 4 for the next 10 years. I think he's been our most consistent D this year. Amazing that they couldn't get more for him. |

If the Bills were 2-5 instead of 5-2, it might be a different story, but even that's not a guarantee. |

Giants Acquire DT Leonard Williams from the Jets for a 2020 3rd round pick and a 2021 5th round pick. It's the first time ever the two teams have made a trade. At least he doesn't need a new living situation. |

Boston better hope nothing happens to anybody on that top line, cause they are driving that team right now - Buff36
Posted this on Saturday, but updated the numbers to reflect the weekend games.
"A one line team. Outside of their top line (23 goals) they have 9 goals total among the forwards. Our top line has 17 goals and the rest of the forwards combined for 20 goals.
Our depth is actually not too bad."

If they can stick to this we will have a really good season:
John Gilmour was asked what changed for Sabres from Thursday's loss in NYC to Friday's win in Detroit.
"Guys in the locker room were saying, ‘We’re not a team who loses two straight.’ Everybody kind of bought in and did whatever it took. It was a gutsy effort and a gutsy win."

Yeah it's nice to have a little depth for a change. |

Those zone starts are still extreme If anything I think they can be compared rather than contrasted.
There is always this tendency with this fanbase to utterly trash the fired guy as 100% worthless. Housley did a terrible job, but his zone starts attitude has basically been carried over by Krueger. The difference? They're winning.
Similarly, I heard so many complaints about ice time for Risto, Sobotka, and the lockport twins, but it's basically the same for three of those guys, and Sobotka's time went up considerably.
Winning cures everything. |

Agreed on everything. The difference isn't really the line usage, it's going from the worst middle 6 in the NHL to something probably close to average.

Perhaps actually adding good complimentary players in Miller, Joker, and MoJo help instead of hoping a College FA will pan out to be a 20 goal scorer actually helps as well. Who'da thunk? |

The big difference for the most part has been the transition game. Bringing in Joker and Miller is a HUGE part of the success this year.
Plus, you can't account for the overall culture and attitude, which is what a new coach brings with him usually. It's been said more than a few times now that the overall feeling and vibe around the locker room is much different under Krueger. |
