Lots of players it’s not ending well for recently - Saarella, Perlini, Seabrook...how happy is Crawford right now...if they fall out of the playoff race this year, how happy is Kane going to be next summer.... - StLBravesFan
i have been saying since lehner arrives this is not all the win/win everybody thought...
neither of these guys want to sit or play 50/50.... |

No no no this is a message by the coach |

Seabs was good with Maatta, I don't agree with benching him again. One bad game doesn't deserve this. He wasn't the only poopty player to lace up skates that day. |

Maybe this is a way to get guys to "loosen" their NMC. |

I was just thinking the same thing about Toews? Do you think JC has the teams attention now. - BetweenTheDots

He has a preference for making no lineup changes after a win, that's for sure |

Apparently JC disagrees with you. 7 played his worst game of the year when you really needed him after Murphy went on the IR, and he played half ass. They won't fire Seabs |

Pair this with Seabs' claim he wasn't spoken to at all before this 2nd scratching, sounds like some dysfunction junction starting to happen between room and coaches.

"As a coaching staff together, [it's about] communication and being clear.

Yup. Fancy stats for the season after that game had Seabrook AND Toews next to each other on the bad side. |

Even if he would, who would take lets say Seabrook at even 80% retained? That fool in Edmonton is gone.

It’s simple, don’t suck and you get to play.

No, he wasn't and yes he did play decent with Maatta, but Seabrook's speed has cost them in just about every game. At some point you need to put the guys out there who give you the best chance to succeed. Team performed very well against the Kings the other day and they need to find out if that was because they played a bad team or because they played a poopty team.
I actually really like this outta JC. This shows that he's taking control of the locker room and doing what he can to give us the best chance to win and that's what the team should be doing.
I love the Core guys and they deserve all the praise in the world for what they did for this Franchise, but they need to start playing better. All of them. This can't be the nostalgia tour for them where they just go out there and play 3/4 of what they can because "they earned it" and collect their paychecks. If this Franchise wants us fans to believe that they're trying to win and continue to win they need to do right by putting the best roster possible out there. |

While I don't think that is the intent, that could very well be the potential impact on at least one veteran. From there, it could cause a chain reaction as the veterans in that core are tight, i.e. loyal to each other and not to a new coaching staff. |

There's a fool in Calgary that traded James Neal, who's lighting the world on fire FYI, for Lucic who's barely a 4th line player. A deal can be found. Winnipeg lost a TON of Defensemen this year. That might be an option. What they could work out I'm not sure about, but the point is that depending on the draft capital, prospects, salary retaining, etc. a deal can be found |

I wouldn't be shocked if Crawford, Seabrook, and Keith are all not Hawks next year. I don't see how they can trade Toews at this point and as poorly as he's played I would still keep him around on this team. With the right combo of guys around him I think that he can still be a very effective player for the Hawks.
The Defense needs to be re-done and clearing out Seabrook and Keith will give Boqvist, Mitchell, and Beaudin all the chance to begin the next wave of Hawks Defense. |

If benching Seabrook creates this huge dramatic wave, some claim, then the team is truly a collection of entitled pussies.
This is all pretty simple, I will give everyone 10 bucks for every foot race to a puck in the dzone 7 has won in the past 3 games. You give me 1 dollar for each he loses. Rewatch the game and let me know how much money you will be sending me.
It is not a matter of being good or bad, he simply can not keep up..

Forsburg is better than Crawford right now. He can be claimed anytime.

Or Toews can be bought out. |

This. He's got great hockey IQ. It's not like he forgot how to play the game or what he needs to do to be in position. It's that he can't keep up to make the right play. |

They would save between 1 and 2M over the next three seasons and lose 50% at the dot. |

Yeah not worth it. He's not at the point where it's hurting the team the way Seabrook has with his decline in play and his contract |

Seabs has been a great Blackhawk for years; his leadership, clutch play, and defensive play have been terrific. It is not his fault for signing the awful deal Bowman signed him to, but it is not Colliton's fault that Seabrook is not that good anymore either. Colliton has to play the players that give him the best chance of winning, and right now and probably going forward Seabrook does not do that for this roster!! |
