I was thinking more along the lines of Koivu being an undersized forward who always played his heart out, than providing constant offense beyond expectations.

Maybe Ottawa can do a reverse Duchene on Karlsson? Burns is 34 and has 5 years after this at $8m. Karlsson highest paid d man in the league is -11 in 12 games...maybe Habs dodged a bullet when he resigned in SJ as compared to wanting to go back to the MTL/Ottawa area...I know I was all about him signing in MTL at the time
