I think that the biggest surprise this season, is that Tanev is still healthy.

Florida looked hungover when we played them, I wouldn't take much from that. The Washington game showed lack of experience. The win vs. STL was good.
- NorthNuck

WAS game did not show lack of experience. You clearly weren’t watching. We controlled the game and only gave up 7 shots in the 3rd. Marky sucked. Full stop

We're also scoring 3.75 goals a game. Last year Tampa scored 3.89/game, 2nd place was 3.52. It's unsustainable.

It's who we are now - deal with it

Didn't they say the same thing about previous year where WPG 3.33 was 2nd and 5 teams broke that last season. Scoring has been going up every year. TB was 3.52 to 3.89.

Do I think Van has the team to keep scoring at 3.75, not exactly but I could see a 3.5 if they continue.

They are just getting started, just think when they are in their mid 20s.

This is why I am excited. I do think they will have a good year but if they don't oh well. I am thinking next year and the year after but enjoying the ride to get there.

Asset Management wise - Lind, Jasek, Macewen(sick) are the only waiver exempt guys - but in terms of who deserves to be up - Boucher, Sven, Goldy, Bailey - but I'd say there's more of a chance they get claimed now if sent back down.

I don't think it would hurt Lind to get a game or two

- Brooks_Light

Don't they have to play a certain amount of games or a certain amount of time up before requiring waivers again?

I think when it is an injury players can be called up for 10 games or 30 days without needing to face waivers. Not sure.

One thing I have seen a huge difference so far this year is zone time in our own end. It so far has probably been less than half (Eye Test)

Canucks scored at 2.67 last year. We're better, but I don't know if we're that much better.

I've noticed it dropping too. I think the 3 additions on defense have had a massive impact there, they're breaking the puck out of the zone cleanly WAY more often than in previous years.

I think the last couple seasons broke my girlfriends spirit. She only glances up from her laptop/phone when they score

So for example if they call up Sven, he plays 9 games or 29 days then he can be sent back waiver exempt? BUT then another injury happens immediately, can they recall him again on the same premise? His 10 games/30 day rule wouldn't reset right? It's cumulative per player/per season?

Whatever you do, don't read the canucksarmy question and answers if you believe that.

Or change that to sometimes "some" fans
