We all want the same thing, for this team to win and be good. If there is a trade to be made that helps us I am sure Botts will pull the trigger, but I don't want to mortgage the future to do it, I want to win for years not 1 and done. Botts is doing a pretty good job, why don't we let him finish the job |

Your third paragraph is why I was purposefully vague.
I could say Pilut, Pekar, Scadella and a 4th for AA
Now the hoard can decend and tell me why that's either WAY TOO MUCH or that DETROIT WOULD BE CRAZY TO ACCEPT
No matter what is proposed, it is an unwinnable situation - jcragcrumple
It's an unwinnable situation here all the time. You should know that by now.
As I've said a few times, maybe the right move is to slide Casey up to 2C, move MoJo to W and look for a 3rd liner overall. Not sure who'd play C on line 3 in the meantime, but we currently have a W playing C on line 2, so how bad can it be to do it on line 3 instead? |

I was addressing this point you made, where you hypothesized that making a move could make us worse:
"I get ppl want us to proactively improve us,
but these moves could also make us worse"
I dont think adding a top-6 winger would hurt us. There are examples of trades happening this time of year, as I pointed out.
As for what offers are available to Botterill, I have no idea, and therefore I couldn't comment on whether he should or shouldn't accept one.
It is possible that there is a move available to Botterill that he doesn't like, but that I would like - jcragcrumple
No, i didn’t say that
You’re taking it out of context
Matty was saying to switch up every line
That’s MULTIPLE MOVES
That’s quite a bit different then making a trade to bring in an obvious upgrade
Are far as moves available...
Did u like the Skinner trade?
How about the Miller trade?
Nylander for Jokiharju?
Seems to me like Botts has earned the benefit of the doubt when it comes to making moves to improve the team
U & others don’t wanna give him that, fine
I do
So my opinion is going to continue to be in opposition of yours
We are 9-2-2
And even if that doesn’t last,
it’s quite easy to see us moving in the right direction imo

They absolutely do, because you if they have chemistry, and chemistry is a positive, the positive results of said chemistry would show up in the numbers - sbroads24
Like 9-2-2 ?
Like Skinner being on pace for more 5v5 goals than last year
Like our + goal differential?
And no
Stats do not quantify things like confidence & chemistry |

Erod has always been a better C than W.. but still no. move up larry or girgs in the time being. How have the Roch Cs looked this year, anyone doing anythign worth note |

He's admittedly young, and it would be more of a long term solution at center, but I wonder if Henrik Borgstrom has fallen enough out of favor for the Panthers that he could be had in a trade. |

My original suggestion a day or two ago was to move Mitts to 2C, shift MoJo to W on that line and then bring Asplund up for the 3C spot. Not sure if he's quite ready or whatever, as I haven't seen anything in terms of Rochester games, but was just kinda taking a stab at it. |

How the hell would I know?
Maybe! Maybe there's an available player that you or I like that he doesn't, or isn't willing to pay the PRICE for. |

Sure
Can those things also exist & not necessarily lead to more goals?
It’s not as simple as you’re trying to make it |

why would minne do this and i assume Staal has a NTC or NMC which will negate the trade |

stats alone.... Lazar is the best center down there, does he even play center in Rochester? |

Which is why i listed the moves he’s made that should allow u to give him the benefit of the doubt,
instead of reasoning there could be trades available you like that he doesn’t
*which btw, doesn’t matter, bc you’re not GM |

He's made some mediocre trades as well and sat on his hands at times.
Regardless, this is all irrelevant. My point is Sobotka is not 2nd line material, and he should be replaced because we have the assets to do so
You seem to agree, but you're also disagreeing IN ALL CAPS and still asking rhetorical questions with 500 question marks |
