Sure, but will we be winning January onwards ? Cause although every game counts and nobody can take away our 9-2-2 start we still have 69 games to play. - Swedish_Jesus

Ok, it’s quantifiable then. - sbroads24
It’s not even remotely that simple
The game is played on the ice, not a stat sheet
Emotions & confidence are constantly shifting
There’s lots of factors that could go into whether or not a goal is scored
Some are measurable, some are not
Have u ever played hockey? Or any sport? |

stats alone.... Lazar is the best center down there, does he even play center in Rochester? - SabresFaninIndiana
Asplund plays center. I believe he was hurt for a bit down there. |

I'd settle for winning November as that is a brutal schedule for that month. |

He's made some mediocre trades as well and sat on his hands at times.
Regardless, this is all irrelevant. My point is Sobotka is not 2nd line material, and he should be replaced because we have the assets to do so
You seem to agree, but you're also disagreeing IN ALL CAPS and still asking rhetorical questions with 500 question marks - jcragcrumple
Well then u just go ahead and keep b!tching and moaning while most of us are enjoying the fun it is to watch the team right now |

why would minne do this and i assume Staal has a NTC or NMC which will negate the trade - SabresFaninIndiana
It seems unlikely Staal would want to leave Minnesota as it would be for the rest of this season AND next season, but if things get bad enough there, I'd think he's be open to it. Makes sense with him having no NTC or NMC clause. |

People want a center i give them a center and then they dont want the center.
Back to Pageau then |

I haven't had a lot of fun watching NYR, Det, and Arizona manhandle us. But could be that's just me.
You know what the awesome thing about switching the lines up is? If it doesn't work...get this, because it's gonna blow your mind... you can switch them back! |

Not to mention presumably most of us originally came to this site because we enjoy discussing trades, rumours, and team building.
How that isn't enjoying the team IDK. |

last I checked we beat Detroit via a shutout. But I guess if that's being manhandled I guess I need to reevaluate my definition of that word. |

thats very presumptuous to assume I know how to read, knowing that I dont know how to spell
I apparently didnt get the memo about how much he loves Minnesota. BUt a google search does seem to confirm it,,,,,, So cross him off then

It's so fun having a conversation with people who just shout 'scoreboard!' to every valid point.
Instead of discussing hockey at a rational level, let's just all post '9-2-2' over and over and over. |

It’s really that simple.
If confidence and chemistry lead to positive things *on the ice* than they will lead to my team scoring more or defending better, which then in turn show up on the stat sheet or win column.
If they don’t lead to those things, then they don’t matter one bit and who gives a poop? |

How the hell would I know?
Maybe! Maybe there's an available player that you or I like that he doesn't, or isn't willing to pay the PRICE for. - jcragcrumple
I'm still unclear why you won't tell is the exact trade Botts turned down that you wanted 🤣🤣🤣 jk.
I am 100 percent in favor of replacing Sobotka on the 2nd line with any scenario of trade or call ups |

Like about missing out on Gusev?
Or telling us how Mojo isn't a center and we shouldn't do that?
Or does this only apply to me discussing Sobotka in the top-6? |

Thank you.
On the one site you have your worthless opinion and hard stats. On the other side you have fitz's worthless opinion, and ...nothing.
The only way for him to win the argument is to make his worthless opinion more valuable somehow than yours. Hence, "did you even play?"
It's the same ridiculous argument everytime. Discredit the person because you can't discredit their point. |

I'm sorry. I guess I'll elaborate. Was there issues in how the game was played that night? sure. But they won (via shutout, as I mentioned) so at the end of the day, I'm not going to panic and run around the room like my hair is on fire.
They should be looking to improve after each and every game. Win or lose. But you know what ACTUALLY matters at the end of the season? The # in the W column, so I won't sit here and apologize for being satisfied with the W that night. |

How about we just bring Asplund up put him at 3C move Mitts to 2C and move Mojo to 2RW, and then Sobotka can sit |

A team, or a line, or a player, can have confidence & chemistry and go up against another team that has this as well
Gretzky got stopped on breakaways many times
Andrew Peters scores some goals
Bad teams beat good teams on any given night
There’s more to it than the stats sheet tells ya |
