It does suck for the most part because even on Friday next week when they play, it's in the afternoon when a good portion of us are probably at work. I can try and figure out a way to watch it while there, but it's not the same as being at home on my couch watching it on my TV. |

Agreed.
Friday is my late day at work, so I will have no other option than streaming or the WGR app. |

I mean, I could just tell my boss I'm going to work from home that day. I do have that option. But I'm in the middle of training someone how to do my job since I'm leaving in 5 weeks, so that kind of puts a crimp in things. |

I went back a couple pages and started to backread to figure out what this was in reference to. I read like 1/2 of page 7 and decided it wasn't worth the headache.

It takes 2 people to make a trade, we all want the team to do it's best and Botts to try and find a player or 2 that can help us now and in the future. But that's not a choice we get to make. I hope he makes move and replaces Sobotka. But you people seem not to understand that Krueger must like him there or he wouldn't be there.. - Buff36
Not really.
Any sane individual would reason that he is playing the cards that were dealt to him and that he is a master motivator and communicator to extract the best from the roster he inherited from the GM, Botts in this case. So Krueger's job is to optimize what he has, and certainly make recommendations on areas of need/improvement...not to cut him, trade him, shoot him or otherwise dismember him.
So no, I don't think Krueger is advocating to keep Sobitka on line 2 producing at an annual rate of 20 points. He clearly isn't dumb. He clearly optimizes what he has.
You guys seem to interpret that as Krueger PREFERS that 2nd line roster spot to be for a 4th line producer. |

I know its been a busy week, but did we lose 5 games this week or something?
9-2-2 and people are thinking the sky is falling.
Every think that a guy could make just fit a system? |

There's an article in the Buffalo News today about how Krueger was excited to get 2 days this week for practice. They haven't had much practice time with the way the schedule has been especially when you factor in the travel.
Hoping to see them come out and be a bit rejuvenated tomorrow night and get back to the basics of what they did at the start of the year. |

Or he doesn't think Sheary or Vesey can play the roll he wants on that line. We can keep on posting things back and forth, obviously no one knows what Krueger is thinking and what Botts has been offered in trades, if there has been any offers, but either way it hasn't been enough for him to pull the trigger. Do I like Sobotka on the 2nd line, no, I would love a more all-around player there, but there isn't, and it's working right now. I am 95% positive that Sobotka won't be there very long. - Buff36
Well, after 75 pages, you have come to the bright side...welcome
The argument all along was simply that. It was twisted by the master twister to suggest that those advocating for an upgrade are demanding it NOW. That was never stated, inferred or hinted at. Nope, merely stated it is clearly an area of need to upgrade the team overall. Now it seems you too are waiting for a move relatively shortly
I then listed 20 targets that represent the combination of age and production that would be who I think they should target. I did this because this sort of debate ALWAYS reaches the point of "ok who then?" Fitz and you twisted that into oh such a pretty list, you must believe Botts can go pull one of the shelf at a grocery store, or pull the trigger on Xbox.
Why didn't you speak up like this 5 pages ago? |

I'll be interested as well. They only changed the D pairings at practice yesterday, so the status quo in the forward ranks will be the object of scrutiny.
With Vesey out, I'll be interested if they call up someone just in case. |

Good post. The time off, while sucking for the fans, could end up being the best thing for the team. Their play has fallen off a bit after such a quick start to the season...optimal time to reinforce the system and style of play. Same with next week as well, and the return week. |

I liked my idea of moving Mitts up to 2C and trying to replace someone on the 3rd line instead. I feel like that's a more "doable" move at this stage of the game. Not sure what we'd do with Sobotka, but as some other have said, shoot him to the moon or something.
But I don't want to make a move just to make one either. I'm willing to be patient, and think that Sobotka has done an overall sufficient job there, but it's definitely a spot that they could upgrade.

Huh?
Because some are advocating for an upgrade at 1 spot?
It is a discussion forum.
9-2-2 IS FANTASTIC ... Maybe they could be 11-2-0...possible? |

My cousin just moved to Phoenix. I'm flying to Vegas, cuz is meeting me there and will drive us back to Phoenix, I fly home from there. Games are back to back (fri/sat) which kinda stinks, but getting out there Wed night and staying until Mon.

There are internal alternatives for sure.
Mitts to 2C has interesting +/-'s.
It may put undo pressure on him and cave his confidence.
It may uplift his game by playing with two clearly very very good linemates.
Interesting for sure. |
