There is just no logical explanation for how every vet player sucks equally badly all at once.

Colliton is a joke but it’s not his fault he’s a rookie AHL coach. The blame lies on Stan Bowman for hiring this guy to replace the 2nd winningest coach in NHL history.

They have a Development Coach behind the bench. 30th in the NHL and you play Ryan (frank)ing Carpenter over Kirby Dach in OT???

Dach didn’t see the ice for the last 15 minutes. If you’re not gunna play the kid, he should be back in Saskatoon. He has looked excellent. He carried dead weight Smith and Shaw (also terrible all year) tonight.

Blackhawks evenly matched with the other team at the bottom of the West Conference. Given that, it's hard to know if the positive things about this game mean much in the bigger picture until they do it against better opponents.

Hawks won’t win poop until they get a real NHL coach. How many years without a playoff series win does Bowman get? Will be 5 years after this poopshow ends in March.

The kid impacts the game nearly every shift. He has all the tools and smarts. Give him some better wingers and ice time or why the (frank) are you burning his contract year??

Watched the Vancouver-San Jose game during the Hawk intermissions. Boy are the Sharks bad. Hawks may get a point against them Tuesday.

kings own the off zone tonight...hawks slow to the puck, can't win a 50/50 puck and when they do they throw it away..

...and you weren't even counting the about 16 blocked shots as well ... the last game there was a ton of blocked shots as well - so it is actually worse than just getting hammered SoG-wise - that's pretty indicative of some really bad D zone coverage.

Silver Lining is that the Hawks should get another Top 5 pick so you hope that Dach, Boqvist, Mitchell, Debrincat, Strome & 2020 Pick can gel with the vets in Saad, Kane, Toews next year.


On paper this team should not be this bad. But Kane, Cat, Strome, Toews all 70+ point scoring paces last year and all of them are nowhere near that level of play.

So.......why no Kubalik in OT ? He's one of our best skaters and 2 way forwards. I would have liked to have seen Dach, Kubalik and Boqvist....Why not. ...this team is going nowhere anyway.

I thought Crawford played well after he came back from his concussion protocol. Toews scored from Kane. Dach, Boquist, Kubalik, & Nylander showed some skills from time to time. Lehner had a good six minutes. Scored a PP goal. Didn't give up a PP goal. Keith wasn't terrible. Um, that's all I got.
