that 3rd line is a bit short on defensive acumen - biggbear77
It’s not set in stone Morgan Frost will come up and take a center spot. Frost can also play wing. Giroux hasn’t been this terrible waste of space at center, his plus/minus has actually been going up since taking on the center position. |

Ratcliffe was clearly throwing the body around, playing a different style than in Junior, a fourth line type of game. Frost didn't look interested out there, was a bit disappointing because he clearly had the most talent. Sound tigers looked horrible. - ClaudeFather
I agree. Who else did you think looked good? Thought Sushko and NAK looked pretty good out there. Hate to say it but Morin looked clumsy with the puck. Friedman was all over the place, I'd be curious to see what he could do at the NHL level. I know he has never produced offensively but I wonder if he could fill the Braun role next year but with more speed and agility hit less size. |

unfortunately I think freidman is going to get passed over. I think he can play in the nhl, the flyers at this point I assume do not. |

I think Friedman could be a MAB type maybe. For a blue line like the Flyers had back then, he'd be a decent fit for the 5/6 spot. But now that we have a fairly competent blue line, he'll have a hard time cracking it. |

The problem with Friedman might be a numbers game. His offensive game isn’t that great. I mean with York and Zamula in the pipeline who gets replaced by Friedman at this time? |

Agreed. He's a serviceable depth guy but his game isn't going to push anyone out as it stands right now. |

I don't know if it is a numbers game more so than they don't think he is an nhl dman. Could be both. That being said don't see how he cracks the nhl on the flyers. Especially with the flyers wanting to be competitive now; cant break a guy in if trying to win.
Maybe Bill can shed some info on what the flyers think of him. |
