TAKE KEITH OFF PP RIGHT NOW
UGH |
Please take Keith off the 1st PP unit. |
I read somewhere that Keith has a clause in his contract that he has to be on the PP - if that's true and he's still holding the Hawks to that promise - then shame on him for being a selfish "me" player because there[s no way he needs the PP time to score enough to be in the Norris race and there's no way he should be on the PP.
He couldn't get that weak shot of his past the defender in front of him and the result was SJ had two very good short handed chances. PLEASE - no more Keith on the PP. |
Does anyone have a source to Keith having that he must be on the pp in his contract? That can be the only explanation for him to be on the pp.
Ugh.. and now he takes a penalty. |
Anyone see the clock jockey let about 6 or 8 seconds run off the clock after the ref whistled the second penalty? Thaaaaank you. |

He supposedly said in the Spittin' Chiclets podcast that he wouldn't re-sign with Hawks way back when unless and until they promised him a role on the PP. They couldn't have been stupid enough to put that in writing could they?
And yes, shame on him if he is still forcing their hand on that. What did he have last year? 2 goals TOTAL? |

Here's the link - it's a good interview even though I don't remember the part about the PP clause. (I tend to fall asleep to podcasts)

I doubt that’s the official clock - it’s been happening the past couple games on TV. |

Thanks! Now I'm off to bed. Goodnight, all. Hopefully the rest of the game is better than the first period. Go Hawks! |

Yea, and these forwards just have no instinct to go to the front of the net as the puck comes out to the blue line. It's painful watching the dmen wait until there's net front presence to only have a forward from the other team get in the shooting lane.
And talk about chasing your own tail in the dzone, sheesh |

What do we have 3 or 4 shots? Dear lord. |

DeBoer's job supposedly on the line after the poor start by the Sharks this season so they came out with a strong 1st period.

poop. Right when the kill is over. |

That goal is on Seabrook - he had the puck on his stick and bobbled it away along the boards and a few seconds later Marleau scored. |

This is a joke, another absolute wood shed. Is this team THIS bad, THIS lowly talented? |

Now I'm really wondering what Toews meant in that "fed up" quote from earlier today. Is "do something about it" play so poorly you get the coach fired? |

It makes no sense. These are not just being outplayed, this is beyond pathetic and bizarre. |

And couldn’t clear Marleau in front of the net. |

I didn't hear that, but it's not surprising.
This chip & chase is for the birds. We aren't too good at it. |

At this pace, SOGs on will be 40-6, Seabrook is far from the major problem here. This is sick. |

And, I'm sorry, after seeing the 12-17=88 line touted as the 2nd coming and hearing how much Kane LOVES to play with them on all the media sites and by a lot of people on this board, I'm not seeing it.
Every time I pay close attention tonight, all I'm seeing is missed passes. Why does everyone keep insisting it's the answer? (genuine question, as I truly cannot remember how they did together last year).
However, we put 19 and 88 (who I do remember having a good year together last year) on a line and we get two bing-bang-goals right out of the gate. |
