Great period, hemmed in their zone at times, but still a 2 goal lead. Just kill the penalty & keep it up.

Markstrom looks pretty bad stick side, imo.

Heh Hawks started out 14-3 in shots and ended up 17-17. Back in the fun quadrant again, I guess.

Usually your leaders when they are happy and hungry or have a challenge then they are not often lazy. It is a shame speed when bottom lines set the tone or are the only hungry skaters.

That said, our pipeline should produce a strong mix of talent speed +
toughness/checking in the following years

I surmise Barrett could even begin there. He is a player who should improve his skating, so perhaps he needs to play one year AHL then still as an NHL rookie still should earn his spurs on a bottom line.

Tonight however Colliton did start with the exact lineup as last game (except in goal) .....this is what he needed to do. Make the players who were so bad last game, be accountable. Any passengers tonight get banished for a lengthy spell in the press box

Agree, I look forward to the future with the young guys, those who develop & come up. Barratt is a guy I was always most curious about. A Shaw type & had a breakout season last year.
