Would never give up a 1st for AA, Mantha yes, I said Montour for AA and a 3rd because the money cap wise is right and I think I was being generous. |

Laine and Buff for Risto and 3 guys with no term left? - Lunaion
Send a prospect or pick back. Buff has something going on there and I feel he has negative value in the trade from the Jets side. Add a Ruotsalainen or Pekar if needed. |

Bogo, Scandella, Nelson and a conditional 2nd for Big Buff.
Condition being he plays this year. Another conditional 2nd rounder if he plays next year. I'd want him at RW again though, not D
The peg needs D. If he never plays again, we lost nothing of value |

Can we through in one of Okposo or Bogo...you know, as a sign of good faith?
Is Stevie Y having a fire sale on 30+ year olds?
Seems like alot to give up by the Sabres. Ya they clear out some Cap space, but then are on the hook for 3.85 in Helm for another year.
I'd say no, but try to untangle some of it to land AA - IonSabres

Either he plays or retires. Don't see a trade coming.

He just wants to claim the injury was from last year and get paid. He will definitely not be in hockey shape or able to play |

Well that's the weird thing. He could have reported to camp, disclosed his injury, got the surgery and received his pay. Instead he decided not to report and he's not getting paid. There's something going on but it has nothing to do with money. If he wanted to mail it in and still get a check, he could have, but he didn't. This is more Berglund-esque |

Well if the stories about Kane's treatment are true (I know some of that involved Buff) it doesnt seem like Winnepeg is a great place for non-white players to be. Perhaps its finally gotten to him or something along those lines happened over the summer. |

My completely unsubstantiated opinion: I think he's a 3-time all-star and one-time cup winner who has made $66 million. His injuries have weighed on him (no pun intended) and he likes to eat and drink beer. I think he's done. He's just over it, or he thinks he might be |

Dudes...you have to try these huge cookies from Panera. They're called "kitchen sink" chocolate chip cookies, and there's a ton of stuff in these sons of b!itches ... pretzels, nuts, caramel, chocolate chips, and salt chunks on top. OMG these things are awesome - I think it's the salt that makes the difference. Literally the best cookie I've ever tasted. So good that I had to stop eating one to give this quick review so that you, the humble, long-suffering Sabres hockey-buzzer, could enjoy them too.
OK, back to eating .... |

I think if I watch any more of McDavid and Draisatil together I might go into a deep state of depression thinking of what could have been. |

Detroit got Fabbri for a scrub.
I would’ve taken a shot on him. Might never be good after his injuries but it’s worth a shot |

Pecar seems like a natural fit there, maybe even higher up in the lineup...but he's still a couple years away for sure. And yes, Asplund seems like another who could excel in that role, I would think he should be ready to go next season, but I agree, he needs to earn it, not just have it given to him.
I haven't looked at the FA list yet to see who might be available for those 4th line roles, but I would like a guy with some edginess to insert there.
Also, I would like to see Lazar get a chance there for some games, just to see what he has to offer there. - IonSabres
Asplund should see some time this year as a call up
Pekar seems to play a style that could fit a bottom6 role too, but he’s a couple years away
But even once they’re here full time,
idk that it’s reasonable to think they can handle a heavy defensive load right away
That’s just a lot to ask
Wouldn’t be surprised if Lazar sees some time up here this year in the bottom6
But idk if he’s gonna factor in much here going forward?
As far as the Top9 moving forward goes,
“Core” guys include Jack, Sam, Skinner, Mitts & Cozens, and most likely Olofsson
Johansson is here for another year after this, but seems like he could be a guy that sticks around for a few years after that
Tage might be the only other guy with a shot at locking down a top9 role
That’s 7 or 8 out of 9,
depending how Tage works out
Ppl seem to think a trade will be made to get another scoring winger,
but maybe we use some of the coming Cap Space we will have to go after a UFA
Taylor Hall would be the obvious prize after this year
And while I’m sure many teams would be interested,
I’m guessing only a handful could actually afford him
And how many of them have a bright looking future like us?
Still might be a long shot
But it could be a scenario that Botts is looking at |
