This has to be the last year for the isles in BK. They basically stripped the place down of isles stuff. They closed down 75% of the concessions last night. An usher was telling us they only expected 5,000 and that’s why everything was closed lol place is a disaster. I’m sure more will be open for the Pens tomorrow but I think they had one concession stand open up top lol - Vukota
When the horn didn't go off until about 10 seconds after the first period ended, I thought, "Yeah, that's about how committed Brooklyn is to the Islanders at this point"
I keep waiting for the adrenaline rush to wear off and for Bardreau to have a below-average game, but he keeps making the most of every shift.
So has Johnston, by the way. Guy only gets like six minutes of ice time when he plays (a little more last night, though), but you always know when he's in the lineup.
I'm really liking this first line. Part of it is that Lee has gotten going and looks a lot better than he did in the first bunch of games, but I think it's also that Bailey looks right at home with Barzal.

Bardreau has looked good UIF and Ross can play a little. He made a nice move last night and just missed the net. Lee has picked up his game and Bailey has looked good with Barzal. I'm thinking Eberle will go with Nelson? |

Could be. On the other hand, I wonder if Trotz will leave things alone as long as the winning streak continues, and everyone stays healthy? |

This has to be brutal for Garth and Cappy seeing the Isles winning with their roster. It's not like the roster was completely turned over. Even JT has to be upset the Isles have not fallen apart without him. - ses111
10 wins in a row WITHOUT Tavares. The amount of years we as fans were subjected to minor league staff is atrocious. Amazing what a real coach can do. |

I'll still go to a weekend game when I can drive in without sitting in a ton of traffic. The tickets are so god damn cheap |

My buddies and I have season tickets again and we sit up in 209 at BK. After the 1st we moved down to the 100’s. I can’t see myself going to many more there especially during a weeknight. I don’t like getting home at midnight |

Yeah weeknights are tough. I'd still drive over taking the train. I'd rather drown in a port-a-potty than be stuck in an overcrowded train car with a gaggle of idiots. Plus paying ~$40 to park is probably cheaper than buying two peak round trip tickets anyway |

He just knows what he's supposed to do...go forward until he meets some resistance, then push the puck into the zone and smash some bodies to retrieve it. Let the players blessed with a lot more talent worry about carrying the puck in and making fancy plays.
Eberle with Nelson makes sense...especially if Brassard cools down. If Brassard stays red hot though...well, I'm OK with waiting until Eberle's back before worrying about where to put him!

Nice. I knew he had a tough road to the NHL, but that injury list is insane! |

So there was just a segment on NHL radio called my team gets no respect and they said the islander are being talked about all over what more do you want a song. So then he sang "oh the islanders are the best team ever they're the best team in the world all the boys and girls love the islanders they're the best team in the world" absolutely hysterical |
