Well I'm talking about who was available. But yes, the Russian Eric Lindros didn't really work out too well. Let him stand as why to NOT trade for Puljujarvi. - jmatchett383
In that case I would've taken Zadorov there, originally i thought he was projected in the top 10 but i guess not. Could've definitely lived with Zadorov. |

Anyone see Yzerman trade for Fabbri from St. Louis? I think that'll be a solid under the radar move when all is said and done. Fabbri is a super talented player has just been derailed by injuries. Would've loved if Fletcher was able to get a guy like Fabbri for the price it ended up being. |

Pretty slick that he only had to give up a player they plucked off of waivers. |

Hextall was assistant GM though in 2013. Certainly he had some say since he was being groomed to take over. Homer would have obviously had the final say but Hexy was involved I believe. - xShoot4WarAmpsx
Hextall was not hired until July 2013, a month after Morin was drafted. This one is Homers baby. |

I saw that and figured it must be a different Fabbri and/or De La Rose. |

But if that's the case, how do you blame Hextall? That's what's really important here, don't ruin it with facts. |

Waivers make it hard for players returning from lengthy serious injury to do so without changing teams. Was Fabbri ever waived? Just seemed like getting something is better than nothing scenario. Also, it’s the right thing to get Fabbri playing.

If Morin is seriously injured again, it may spell his doom. - jmatchett383

Wouldn't go that far. He's been progressing at a nice rate but it's an ongoing adjustment and there will be times when he takes a backward step. Last night was one of those. Needs to get back on the horse against Hershey on Saturday. Can't play with pace a few shifts a game or for one period. Needs that gear consistently. - bmeltzer

Even though he scored Sunday he played a very uninspired game against the Sound Tigers. |

He was considered a project when drafted and there was criticism at the time. It was a bad pick. - ClaudeFather
What's meant by a project is that it would take more development time for a player to make it to the NHL. Criticism of that does not automatically make it a bad pick. |

The Flyers have handcuffed themselves with their cap position from making opportunistic deals. |

Nine Inch Nails really hasn't put out a good son since 1997.
That is all. - jmatchett383
I dunno if I can agree with that.. I dont think anything can equal their output from early on but recent releases have had good songs. |

I didn't want Domi because then we'd have to draft Tomas Kaberle's son to protect Max from Luke Richardson's son. - jmatchett383

Somewhat true but the Fabbri deal was an even cap hit swap.

I just did the PHM/Broken/Downward Spiral sound. The pissed off edgy sound. The Perfect Drug was okay, but I didn't dig when he started getting more experimental and I don't know how to say it but his "cleaner" sounding stuff, starting with With Teeth.
That said, I haven't listened to anything since his free record. |

agree on frost. he doesnt have the same motor that jf or tk does. one would think he would want to play harder as the streak continued to drive him forward into flyers lineup. but no, he just plays at a modest pace and doesnt stand out til he gets the puck with some serious room to create. then he comes alive. unfortunately thats only a small part of a 60 minute hockey game. we know he has the skill to handle nhl, just wish he would play w more tenacity and speed. |

They could have offered Morin for him and fit under the cap by sending one of the kids down or putting Patrick on LTIR retroactively. |
