Jeff Skinner scored 37 goals with Victor Rask.
Jeff Skinner is on pace for 36 goals with a 2nd line winger as his center and Vlad Sobotka.
Why do people enjoy being so wrong? - sbroads24
Skinner is the last person I am worried about. Think there's 6 forwards on this team with 1 or less goals, I was fooled again by this team. As much crap hockey I have seen in 45yrs of watching you would think I would now better. I know it's only 20 games, but this team needs a shakeup. |

big question is do they want to compete this year or next |
|
|
|
You’re right.
Jeff Skinner has 47 goals in 99 games as a Sabre which is a 38 goal pace - sbroads24
Sure, and how many goals were scored without being on the ice with Eichel ? Idc what he did with Viktor Rask 3 years ago.
He has played 17 games as a $9M winger and that’s too small of a sample size to say he’s going to score 36 away from Jack this year. |

Good question.
The answer may just be, “next year”. |

I can’t wait for him to score a few goals again, so you can once again backtrack and pretend you only criticize the fact that he won’t be good in year 6-8 of his deal.
You literally jump at any chance to criticize him, including this past 7 games.

Even if it's next year they still could do something that's helps now and the future. |

Didn’t answer my question. His first 6 or 7 games as a Sabre he didn’t play with Jack and he had I think 1 goal if I remember correctly.
They also took him off of a line with Jack in the middle of the year and he went on to have the worst stretch of his career.
I thinks it quite impressive that a player can score a career high 40 goals and have the worst 25 game stretch of his career in the same season. |

Now this is just hypothetical, nobody go nuts. But what do you think you could get for Dahlin in a trade. Is he worth a 2 Hi End Forward prospects or 2 good young players already playing. A good forward and a pick. Could it infuse some hi end talent to are forward group. Imagine 2 more forwards that could score 20-30 goals. |

Ok, so here are the actual facts
Jeff Skinner had 32 Even strength goals
23 were with Eichel on the ice with him in 896 minutes
He had 9 goals without Eichel on the ice in 368 minutes
So, really not a big difference at all.
In fact, he scored more per 60 with Okposo and Mittelstadt than he did with Eichel |

But then he went on to Tweet...
“For the record I’m not trying to build false hope and saying something will happen. Just felt it may be wise to see where things are in another 24 hours is all.
So don’t get all excited yet. At this moment there’s still nothing imminent.” |

4 goals in his last 25 games last year. 2 came in the last game when they put him back with Eichel’s to get to 40.
So with my math that is 11 goals in his last 41 games without a goal assisted by Eichel.

To further the don cherry stuff, it seems as though he was referring to people from Brampton and Mississauga near Toronto, which largely are Sikhs, not wearing poppies.
Sportsnet broadcasts nhl games in Punjabi. It a good idea to pissoff the growing fan base and is a remarkable stupid and offensive comment to make.
Also, poppies fall off all the time. I had mine fall out three times this am from 9 to 10 am.
How does grapes know why people aren’t wearing poppies? Lots of supposition on his part.
So, there was a lot of fake internet alt-right crap going on recently in Canada. One said that “the homosexuals” were making rainbow poppies and the other one encouraged the red necks and other knuckle draggers to “share this because I don’t care who these poppies offends!” Literally no one in Canada has a rainbow poppy or is offended by a poppy. No one at all. But it doesn’t stop the chest beating tubes from Alberta and the dummies who though rob Ford was a saint from getting their manties in a bunch. |

You can twist the facts however you want.
Jeff Skinner has been an elite goal scorer with and without Jack Eichel, this year, last year and years before.

Ryan Oreilly 1 5 on 5 goal in 18 games and just 4 primary points.
He’s back to being a PP specialist. Who would’ve predicted that? Oh, me?

It's written on the wall for some of us: Our sports teams are more exciting when we can speculate over draft position, because playoffs? Playoffs? Are you kidding me? Playoffs? |
