Difference being that Allen is only 23-24 years old, and is (hopefully) improving. That was Tyrod Taylor's ceiling.

He said something like this when he acquired Montour:

“This is a situation where we realize our weaknesses on the roster. We are exploring our options and will continue to look for the right players who want to be here”

He’s afraid of trading away talent for players that do not want to play in Buffalo. So good luck finding good players who actively want that

I would agree with this last year.

This year, I really think they were subject to what always happens in this league in October: a lot of good teams play poorly, and a lot of bad teams play well.

It does take to teams to make a trade. Its November teams dont have to make moves now.
LA is in no rush to trade these players they can wait and see what the market will hold

Most of his other stats are around the same.
People want to believe in him, but I am starting not to.
Look at other young QBs in the NFL, Gardner Minshew, Daniel Jones, Mason Rudolph, Kyler Murray, etc are all coming in and putting up numbers.

Allen is not, he is a major problem with this offense IMO.

Allen has never been an accurate on the money QB, he never really amounted to anything in college either. He was never a big numbers guy. But people fell in love with his size, which is the dumbest thing people do. Size does not matter for QB.

Oh im not defending him. I just merely stated its his floor (right now)
IF you take away his rushing stats hes terrible.

Even at Wyoming he played best when Brian Hill was on the team and they were a run heavy offense.

They have played just 17 games.

As you know, most of the players looked good thru the first 10 games of the season.

Allen will get another year and that is fine.

Those other QB’s are also worse than Allen in a lot of categories

Including Jones being worse than Winston with turnovers

Rudolph’s best plays have been run after the catches by his receivers

Minshew led the league in fumbles and has gotten worse in each start the last 3-4 games (oh and is benched already)

If Allen hits legit 2 deep balls this year that he’s missed, he’s more towards 18-20th in YPA, yards per game etc.

Which isn’t great but hardly awful
