i'm not saying that Jake is going to command some awesome return of a high 1st-top level prospect +. but none of those guys really move the needle for me personally. Athanisou is the only one with any kind of potential left, and he's already 25.

If he isn't scoring then chances are he's probably not helping the team in any significant way. At least with G you're getting a face-off monster and a guy that can run a PP.

If Jake isn't scoring he's pretty much useless imo. Here's hoping his production doesn't fall off any time soon.

I can never remember if Jake has a NMC or not but if he doesn't it would be real interesting if Fletch could work out a trade with Seattle for Jake or JVR.

Voracek is just not playing to the level of his contract. He would not be easy to move right now.

This is true. He can certainly also be used on the PK if needed.

Jake is really a one trick pony in that regard and if the offense stops coming we're screwed on that deal.

Voracek is just not playing to the level of his contract. He would not be easy to move right now.

that's fair. if we're seriously considering moving Voracek, i would rather see a move around the draft. package with our 1st to try and move up or something. not just a lateral move for another aging player with flaws.

i still think you could get a better return than any of those previously listed. all except Athanisiou would be glorified rentals or lateral moves for another overpaid vet. if we're gonna dump him for the sake of dumping the contract, go for picks and/or prospects.

Seriously, if they somehow make the dance and win a round the young players will probably have progressed quite a lot. With no regression, to me it could open in 2021/22 I guess.

With patty at 3c and laughton as our 4th line center we would be the deepest down the middle as we have been since i can remember. And now that they have somewhat adjusted to AVs system they look good. Still some things to work on but our forecheck has gotten really impressive really fast. Plus patty will have some real talent to work with. He is in a good position to succeed
