I'm going to cancel my cable because Bell is offering a year at 54.99 for unlimited internet and Rogers costs 194 for that and a basic cable box.

based on the general level of xenophobia of canadians towards americans, i would have to at least agree that it is at least tolerated in canadian society.

I think you just have to say dislike. There is PLENTY of reason to hate Americans. Plenty of reasons to be angry at them. Plenty of reasons to loathe their government. Its not xenophobic for Canadians to dislike Americans, the reasons are there, valid and warranted.

History shows that there is no prejudice in the hate towards the US of A, more common sense.

Immigrants that adapt to the country that receives them tend to agree with such statements though.
If you're a good immigrant, you try to integrate as much as possible - starting with language, religion (or lack of) and participating in the country's customs and celebrations etc.
