Spruce and birch are the preferred fuel, but aspen if nothing else is available.

I should take more advantage of the fallen birch. I do harvest the bark for kindling when I'm hiking.
Aspen? Down here they are basically twigs. Forgot you guys are coniferous up there.

Huh, Only aspen I've come across is quaking aspen which seems to grow in groves and not very large.
Forgot you are mostly coniferous up there.

I like the way it smells and how it makes everything black.

I was saying the Canadian pig burns coal.

Looked up the aspen, kinda similar to poplar, but man, you really got screwed with softwoods up there. Red oak and ash are the poop. Throw a few on before bed, and a nice amount of coals in the morning to stoke up. Below freezing tomorrow, so I'm going to splurge on the hardwoods tonight to make the girls happy in the morning.

Pulled pork sounds nice.

My wife requested Swedish Meatballs for her bday dinner. Homemade Creme Brulee to finish the meal. Not whole 30 compliant.

WHICH PLAYER IS OFF TO THE MOST DISAPPOINTING START?

James Tanner

It has to be Kaapo Kakko. He has been brutal, with just two goals and three points in 11 games played. The New York Rangers should send him back to Finland but they probably won't because he's already burned off a year of his contract. He is currently getting enforcer levels of shot share and puck possession (high 30s) but maybe the problem is who he's playing with. We know who you play with is up to five times more important than who you play against, and Kakko's most common linemates are Krieder, Howden, Strome and Lemieux. Perhaps some time with Panarin would be what he needs. The Rangers better try something because this is ugly so far.

Since 2005-06, Kaapo Kakko is the seventh 18-year-old who has recorded six or more goals in his first 16 career NHL games (along with Jordan Staal, Patrick Kane, Evander Kane, Jeff Skinner, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, and Patrik Laine). #NYR

oh yeah for sure

but I think Kakko leading rookies in goals scored and Fox finishing 2nd in rookie points for defensemen is very doable

this guy Olofsson is 6 years older than Kakko

He's basically like Panarin when he broke in.

Edit: Makar is also 20. Be interesting to see what Kakko is doing at 20 in his third pro season.
