The day I wrote that, he was, by Evolving Hockey's aggreagate statistical model the WORST PLAYER IN THE NHL.

Much was expected of him, and he was putting up ENFORCER LEVEL statistics.

When Tanner said Kakko was the biggest disappointment in the league I suggested that guys like Bobrovsky, Benn, Lucic, etc...are likely causing far more concern to their respective teams than an 18-year old kid adapting to a new country, language, teammates, systems, travel, etc...

THAT was the more reasonable take.

Later that night, Kakko got 2 more points. Haha. It was a real Meltzer moment.

P.S. Kessel has ONE even-strength goal in 19 games. He has to be high on the list of biggest disappointments. Although a few of us saw this coming a mile away. Haha!
