I’ve been home since 10:15 so at least leaving close by is a plus. I know people from New Hampshire that have season tickets and go to every game. I’m not talking right across the MA/NH border either. Imagine taking that two way trip to see your team blow a 4 goal lead? I’m at least just a few train stops and a quick 10 minute walk away

A lot of times I’ll walk the whole way, but not when it feels like it’s 5 degrees out

Well, the optics certainty don't paint that picture. He came out and said something along the lines of "I said what I said and I meant it and I can't be a SN robot". Paraphrasing of course, but that was the message I got when reading his statement.

it is true though that immigrants who do not adapt to local culture, values, customs tend to create tensions in a country - in particular when that group gets bigger and bigger.
that is equally the case for subsaharian immigrants in canada, north african immigrants in europe, the english retired on the spanish coasts, and expats living in their bubble 'fake world' in some poor countries around the world.

I've never been a big Cherry supporter, and how he said it wasn't great - but their isn't anything wrong with it per se.
People offended by his statement are either Cherry haters, or they never mingled with big immigrant groups nor were they immigrants themselves.

Notice how I didn't say anything about whether I thought what he said was wrong or not? That's because I don't want to entertain the discussion. All I said, was that if he wanted to apologize, his statements in the days following sure didn't convey that sentiment.

Yeah, that was immediately following it - and I think it was while the network was asking him to apologize that he refused, and basically said that.

After they went ahead and fired him, there was an interview - that looks like it's outside of his home - where he said that he wasn't trying to single out any specific group, he meant "all the people", and further went on to say that if given the opportunity he would apologize.

That said, the punished are always the most contrite.
