Well, the optics certainty don't paint that picture. He came out and said something along the lines of "I said what I said and I meant it and I can't be a SN robot". Paraphrasing of course, but that was the message I got when reading his statement.
- RickJames77

He did.
But he was the tv last night with global and some other channel (one was a sit down interview, the other was an interview in a driveway) and he basically said he would have apologized this coming saturday, didnt mean the way it came across and should have used better words "everyone".

Guess he's had time to cool off.
Its been really friggin cold up here.

So, is Long Island gonna rain down the chants on JT tonight?

Or are they "over it"?

- LeafGuy89

Theyre new yorkers......they'll boo.

But their team has a great record, plays with heart and are a better team than the leafs right now.....so good for them.

Dinosaur has been spouting off racist poop for decades..

Let’s not overthink this, his firing was long overdue.

He knew exactly what he was going to say. He clearly watches Fox and Rebel because that’s where he ran to. This is what these bumholes do. Now that he’s finally facing the consequences, it’ll be nothing but a pity-party until he kicks the bucket. There’s nothing to dissect, there’s no misunderstanding, he didn’t misspeak.. this was all calculated. Maybe he was manipulated by FB ads, or Fox news, but it’s no excuse.

Tucker calls people who disagree with him as “fascists who dont have real feelings” and Don just sits there and agrees. (frank) Don up his stupid bigoted ass.

can anyone recall an NHL goalie playing back to back nights, complete game? I know backups get pulled from time to time, but I can't remember a goalie ever starting two games back to back.

Pretty sure it happened last season with Price when it became obvious Niemi wasn't winning another game in his career.

Edit: Nope, just played the last 13 games but no back to backs.

Thank god Leafs play the Bruins on the first half of a back-to-back this Friday. Might actually stand a chance of winning.

And hopefully Sid the Kid decides to have that surgery so he isn't playing on the Saturday against Kaskisuo!

Pittsburgh still has people with hockey sticks, so it's pretty dicey.

Yeah, he's looking pretty damn good. Especially for a rookie in the AHL.

Great technique, fast for his size and looks calm and collected out there.

The trick is to draft an amazing goaltender every 13 years.

I don't get why other teams don't follow our example.

Notice how I didn't say anything about whether I thought what he said was wrong or not? That's because I don't want to entertain the discussion. All I said, was that if he wanted to apologize, his statements in the days following sure didn't convey that sentiment.
- RickJames77

When he said "you people" he was talking about people not buying poppies, it's everyone else but mostly them people that turned it in a racism thing.

They could also buy some. I hear they're not completely bankrupt yet.
