When he said "you people" he was talking about people not buying poppies, it's everyone else but mostly them people that turned it in a racism thing. - bobbyisno1
Lol - I just said I wasn't getting into this and didn't care to talk about whether what he said was wrong or not.
I thought I made that pretty clear. All I said was that if he's now saying he wanted to apologize, then he shouldn't have doubled down on his comments the day after. Whether he should have to apologize or not, you can decide for yourselves. |

Boston quietly on a 4 game losing streak.

Damn Crosby might have surgery...too many injuries so far this year to star players. |

JT, Andersen and Matthews have to stay healthy. Most important players on the team. |

Or he can do the noble thing and just let people be happy by shutting-up. - Arctic_AARDVARK
yes... at this point he would do the best for himself - by being quiet...
'cause there are so many complete idiots making themselves look equally as bigoted in media... social media.
pot meet kettle
but they don't have the excuse of being out of touch and 80+ years old...
check out the "The Social"....

It’s things like The Social that make me sick of the thought of ever identifying as a “liberal or democrat”
Those psychos just spend an hour or whatever it is commenting on shït deciding if they should be outraged or not.
Absolute nutters. If your wife or gf watch this poop, gtfo of that relationship A$AP (and rocky)

I didn't know such a "national platform" existed.
I've always felt that "shows" such as the View in the States are nothing more than time consuming noise... and the debates therein are akin to two drunk guys talking politics.
I can't believe that the people on "The Social" are dimwitted enough to actually say what they say in public...
to be clear this doesn't have anything to do with Don Cherry being terminated at HNIC.... that's on Don Cherry, what he said, whether intentionally or not is acceptable in this day and age.
what Cherry's event does 'cause apparently is other people to act equally inappropriately.. and I'm genuinely curious to see if "social outrage nation" (which is a political party) reacts as viscerally to "The Social" comments as they do to Cherry's.

question - is "Outrage" three or four tweets? what's sufficient? |

They've been looking for a way to get rid of him and he gave it to them.
Right or wrong it's their business to do so, now if they use it as an excuse to get out of his contract that'll be a different story. |

that's exactly why DonC should be quiet right now.
these other media personalities continuing to talk as stupidly as they are will do nothing but reinforce DonC position relative to the "contract".... its pretty clear he won't and shouldn't get back on the air.
the question will become whether those other personalities should also be "asked to resign"...
"you people" by 80+ year old white guy
"white boys who are bullies who's parents spend money on amateur hockey" ... by 30+ year old "socially savy" white women
you couldn't script a sit com any better

In all seriousness, what would you consider a successful season this year? 2nd round, conference finals, cup appearance, or is it cup or bust? |

Worst part is not nearly enough people wear poppies or give a damn about Remembrance Day.
Whether native Canadians or older or newer immigrants are worse than each other is unknown, and frankly, pointless.
But this will never really be talked about except in token, sanctimonious quips made simply to justify going all in on 'the racism story'. |
