I think that was actually the Caps had scored 2 or more goals but either way agreed.
Loved everything I have seen over the past 5-6 games. - opeth_pa
It was. Pretty sure they said the Caps scored 2 goals every game so far this season. |

At some point, they are going to need to get 2 points consistently against Metro Teams.
Good game by Hart.
Glad to see the expected goals for was 397.325, with Hayes accounting for 3 of those
If the expected turned into the actual the Flyers might have won the game! |

What firepower is out there for them to acquire and what would they give up to do so? - opeth_pa
Brandon Saad for Ghost. |

The team is winning and gaining points, they’re building an identity. I love it. |

Towards the end of the third there was a lot of sloppy defensive play I thought. They dominated the OT though besides that breakaway. - Ftown19125
This. Hart carried them to OT. Caps completely dominated the end of the 3rd.

I like Alain Vigneualt. I like him a lot but do you think he’s gonna call himself out on these shootout losses? Line up not consistent. Voracek hasn’t deserved a shot in the shootout in sometime. Konecny and Farabee have at least scored a couple of beauties between the two of them within the last couple weeks but they’re nowhere to be found in this one. - SuperSchennBros
Voracek had the goalie beat, he just didnt get enough on it, it happens to everyone. Giroux has had that happen often in his attempts in the past. You say he he needs to call himself out but fact of the matter is this team has 48 Shootout wins all time. They have what 3 this season? That has to be close to if not more wins than any other previous season and we arent even 25% into the season yet.... |

They just got a point against the top Metro team, a game that I guarantee no one thought we would win. I think we have gotten points in 7-8 games straight. If that isnt consistent, I dont know what is. We all know realistically this team is not top of the league good but 3rd in the Metro is not unreasonable. |

That one point is because of Hart! - Landsbergfan
No doubt. Caps had the better chances toward the end. Another great game for Hart.
Random thought: I need to see Hayes paired with a finisher, not Jake (another playmaker). He's constantly creating space and opportunities for linemates, they just aren't burying the puck.
Still, good game against a better team.

They could try swapping out Twarynski for a right shot from the Phantoms and switching JVR and Voracek. So those two lines would look something like...
Farabee - G - Voracek
JVR - Hayes - Criscuolo |
